AADHAR CARD INFORMATION FOR JEE MAIN ASPIRANTS
Introduction:
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is conducted to get
admissions into various engineering colleges in India. The exam
conducting authority of JEE Mains is the Government of India itself.
The students who wish to apply for the examination must first apply
for the exam, pay the application fee, and then only they will be
eligible to attend the examination. Application filing is the first step
of the entire admission procedure. The application date is near and
the court has started announcing some important notifications and
notices regarding the same.
Requirement of Aadhar Card:
According to the latest notification released by the Government of
India on 18th November, 2016, every applicant must hold a valid
Aadhar card number. This number should match with the UIDAI
database and should be authentic. The application form includes a
special field in which all the details about the Aadhar card can be
entered. The application process of JEE Main 2017 starts from 1st
December, 2016 and will be continued till the 2nd of December.
Hence, the candidates who do not have the Aadhar card in their
name can make the arrangements for the same in the one month
provided. For the record purpose of JEE Main 2017 admissions and
application, Aadhar card will be collected as a very important and
necessary document.
Following are some more important points regarding the new
Aadhar card notification applicable for JEE Main 2017 applicants:
The application form of this year JEE Main will have different
section to fill the Aadhar card details like the Aadhar card
number, birth date, address, school records etc. which should
match with the Aadhar card details of the person which is
stored in the UIDAI database.
In case of any mismatch found, the candidates can immediately
apply for the correction of the wrong information filled.
The Aadhar card facility is not yet used in the states of Assam,
Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Lakshadweep
etc. Hence the students belonging to these states shall not be
required to present the Aadhar card.
Supreme Court has also announced that this provision of
Aadhar card is voluntary in nature and it will not be made
mandatory till the court announces its final decision.
