AAI ATC allowances

After completion of Training, JE (ATC) will be eligible for 1) House Rent Allowance (if

not opted for AAI quarter)- 30% of basic at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata,

Hyderabad and Bengaluru. 2) Rs. 3400 per year for shoes and socks 3) Uniform Cloth

plus Stitching charges once in every 3 years. (8 Shirts, 6 pants, 2 Ties, 2 Suits, 1

Jersey) 4) Festival Allowance during Diwali: 3.5% of yearly basic (i.e. 16400 * 12) 4)

Rating allowance & Stress Allowance (which is the most lucrative part of this job)- But

getting Rated as an Air traffic Control Officer is not a cakewalk as one has to complete

the stipulated on-job- training under an on-job-training instructor and appear for series

of written Examinations and Practical Pre-Board and Board Examination. Total Rating

allowance at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata: Rs 26,000 Stress Allowance is

calculated as percent of Rating Allowance depending on traffic density at that particular

airport Stress allowance at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai- 100% of Rating Allowance and at

Kolkata it is 80% of Rating Allowance. (The Above Information is for Metro cities like

Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, where allowances are highest)

AAI JE Compensation

Salary Structure in AAI for Entry level Junior Executives during Training period: Basic

Pay: E1: Rs. 16400 Industrial Dearness Allowance (100.3% from Jan, 2015)- Revised 4

times a year in Jan, Apr, Jul and Oct- Rs. 16449.2 Perks (46% of basic)- Rs. 7544

Medical Allowance- Rs. 2875 Total: Rs. 43, 268 Deductions: PF contribution (12% of

basic and DA)- Rs. 3942 GSLIC Contribution- Rs. 400 Benevolent Fund Contribution-

Rs. 26 Total Deductions- Rs. 4368 Inhand Salary- Rs. 43268 - Rs. 4368 = Rs. 38,900

(Plus there will be deduction of income tax at source as applicable) Also there will be

deduction of Nominal Lodging and Boarding charges during 6 months training period at

Civil Aviation Training College, Allahabad. ATC officers are trained at three training

Centres: 1) CATC, Allahabad 2) NIATAM, Gondia, Maharashtra 3) HTC, Hyderabad

CNS officers i.e. Electronics people are trained at only CATC, Allahabad
