Aalborg CarnivalThe largest carnival in the Northern Europe a time when the wholecity bubbles with high spirits. The main event the carnival parade iswithout a doubt the most visited event in Aalborg throughout the year.

European Man Championships Bowling 2015Aalborg and Løvvang Bowling Center has been awarded the hosting ofthe men’s European Championship in bowling. The Championship willtake place from June 4 to the 14 and it is expected that a minimum of300 players, leaders and a similar number of visiting guests is comingto town.

Nordic TournamentDanish Soldiers’ Association is hosting the Nordic Tournament in 2015.The tournament is held every second year with participants fromSweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark and in 2015 the tournamentwill take place in Aalborg.

Aalborg Half-Marathon 2015For the second successive year the halfmarathon will take place inAalborg. It is a marathon with a great atmosphere and a quick routewith few turns and almost no gradients in order to get past as manyspectators as possible so the participants gets motivation all the wayto the finish line.

Nordic–Baltic Championship in dressage 2015The Nordic Baltic Championship in dressage will be held at AalborgSports equestriancenter Fintrupgaard. It is the first time that anequestrian center in North Jutland hosting such a big ridingchampionship. The participants from Sweden, Norway, Lithuania,Latvia, Finland, Estonia and Denmark will be invited.

Nibe FestivalIt is a yearly event that takes place in Nibe forest, called Skalskoven.The festival has grown throughout the years and has now become anevent with big international and national artists.

Ocean Lava Iron Man-TriathlonIn cooperation with SBR Sports the first edition of Ocean LavaTriathlon is being held in Aalborg. The event area already opens onJuly 2, so the city will be filled with athletes from July 2 to July 4.

Green ConcertGreen Concerts take place 8 times every year in 8 biggest cities,including Kolding, inviting a variety of Danish artists to perform onstage. Green Concert is Nothern Europe's biggest concert tour of itskind.

The Tall Ships Races 2015The international organization Sail Training International, which is thebig race for sailing ships, The Tall Ships Races has selected theharbours to host the event in 2015. Besides Belfast, Aalesund andKristiansand is Aalborg selected to be host harbour. It will be thefourth time Aalborg hosts the race, and Aalborg have the honour tobeen selected as the final harbour in 2015.

Youth Games in AalborgAt the same time as The Tall Ships Races, Aalborg city will be filledwith hundreds of young ones from different countries. They willcompete against each other in different branch of sports.

European Tour–Made in DenmarkThe first edition of the European Tour tournament “Made in Denmark”on Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort August 14 to 17, 2014 has been agreat success. Nearly 85.000 golf enthusiasts secured a ticket to watchworldclass golf on Danish soil. In 2015 there will be a golf feast againin Himmerland, Denmark.

UCI World Cycling Tour Final DenmarkUCI has awarded Denmark with hosting of the amateur worldchampionships in road cycling. It will be held in Aalborg and Hobrofrom September 3 to 6, 2015. There is expected about 2500participants (2000 international and 500 national participants.)

World Championship in Rescue DogsAalborg has been awarded with the hosting of The WorldChampionship in Rescue Dog 2015. It is expected that approximately130 dogs with their leader and families will participate.
