ANDREWS LEGAL LITERATURE AWARD WINNERS CHICAGO, June 4, 2015 — The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) officially announced the four recipients of this year’s Joseph L. Andrews Legal Literature Award today. The 2015 Andrews Award winners are: Ann Jordan Laeuchli (awarded posthumously), former associate librarian at Yale Law School, for A Bibliographical Catalog of William Blackstone Co-authors of Appeals to the Privy Council from the American Colonies: An Annotated Digital Catalogue: o Mary Sarah Bilder, professor of law at Boston College Law School o Charles Donahue, Jr., Paul A. Freund professor of law at Harvard Law School o Sharon Hamby O'Connor, professor emerita of law at Boston College Law School The Joseph L. Andrews Legal Literature Award recognizes a significant textual contribution — a book, pamphlet, periodical, website, database, or other publication — to legal literature. Nominations are measured by their creative, evaluative elements, and the extent to which originality and judgment factored into the work’s formation. “The three of us truly appreciate being nominated for, and receiving, this award,” O'Connor said. “We hope that our publication proves to be a valuable research tool for all those who are interested in life and the law in the colonial era.” The award recipients will be recognized at the 108th AALL Annual Meeting & Conference, to be held in Philadelphia from July 18-21, 2015.
