One man. One dream.

One cupcake. In the quiet town of Icing, Alabama lived George

Frederickson. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a

world-famous baker. In 1924, he opened his first dessert shop, but it received little

business.

When the Great Depression hit, he was about to lose all hope. But on one fateful day, President Herbert Hoover walked in and was blown away by Frederickson’s latest

creation, the Firecracker Cupcake. Hoover’s discovery made the dessert shop thrive and become the great place it is

today!
