Wet Mop Selection For Floor Maintenance Programs Wet MoppingSelecting the best mop style for floor maintenance programs is critical to optimize performance results. The type of floor, project task and cleaning solutions or coatings used are criteria to consider when choosing a wet mop.

Daily MoppingCut-end mops offer good customer value, performance, and absorbency along with solution release. Blended and synthetic mops yield greater durability and longevity.

Finish MoppingSynthetic & rayon mops are recommended based on absorbency as well as design options such as tailbands or looped-end features for greater coverage and even distribution of floor coatings

Fiber Selections

Cotton: Economical to use & offers excellent water absorption as well as retention for fast drying floors. Ideal fiber content for general cleaning with most diluted floor cleaners on a variety of surfaces & requires an initial presoak break-in to remove natural occurring oils before first use.

Blends: A combination of cotton and synthetic fibers offer longevity & cleaning performance. Ideal for contract cleaners; fibers such as polyester provide durability while rayon offers absorbency without a traditional break-in period normally associated with cotton mops An anti-microbial option inhibits bacterial growth for extended product use.

Rayon: Bested suited for floor finishing applications. Superior value with excellent absorption as well as quick release characteristics for even coverage on floors.
