Atonement- Yearly and limited

Atonement once and for all! Heb. 9:12

– He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once and for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.

I John 2:2– He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only

for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Birth into a physical kingdom(Israel)

New birth into a spiritual kingdom I Peter 1:3

– Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Circumcision of the flesh

Circumcision of the heart Romans 2:29

– No a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code.

Darkness of the world

Delivered into the kingdom of light Colossians 1:12,13

Education

Good Works

– Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people

Mark 1:15, 16:15– The kingdom of God is near. Repent and receive

the good news…preach the good news to all creation.

Heart of stone

Heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26

– I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you: I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

– And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Immersed Figuratively

Nation by birth

Offering sacrifices of meat, grain, etc in the temple

Hebrews 13:15– Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually

offer to God a sacrifice of praise-- the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Religion

The resurrection verified that Jesus was Messiah and Savior.

now commands all men everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.- Acts 17:30,31
