Update to the Transition Plan 5-Year Graduation Cohort
• Students who were enrolled as 12th graders in 2008–09 and graduated in 2009–10 as a result of Senate Bill 202 S.L. 2009-451 may be included in the 5-year cohort rate for the 2009–10 reporting year
• All other former students who graduate as a result of Senate Bill 202 S.L. 2009-451 are not to be counted in any graduation rates, and therefore, will not be used in any state rate publications
• The same data elements for the regular graduates will be requested from the graduates under S.L. 2009-451 (e.g., race, gender, course of study)
• Graduation Data Verification System (GDVS) will include students who received a diploma as a result of removing competency and computer skills graduation requirements for the five year rate

• For the required testing collections 20D, FDF, and FDS• We need the actual day of testing as described in
the collection schedule • For the FDF collection – only high schools are needed
• If you, for example need all schools for FDS, you would need to put the collection dates for elementary schools

• Check for missing historical test score records in NC WISE test and populate them with historical WinScan files from accountability
• The ATEAM will use historical WinScan records and the current student ID (convid) file to locate historical missing scores in NC WISE and populate with score that match
• Rename the member.### to member######.txt. We will make backward changes on server for 2010 files only.

• The ATEAM will load Lexile scores for Reading scale scores and Quantiles scores for Mathematics scale scores
• Time Line for these additions to NC WISE has not been set and is pending final approval
• The Lexile and Quantile scores may be used for the next generation of the Accountability Model
• The actual accommodation used for test will also be added to the SCO from WinScan to be uploaded into the test upload

• New instructions to use a computer without a parallel port and with a USB port have been developed and added to the printer setup instructions for users who purchase additional equipment
• Network the printers so the USB can be used for WinScan labels and precode (This is not currently needed for equipment provided by the state)

• We will use the SBE list of the eight (8) regions for some reports
• The SSH server count will be down for two days after the March Collection as we move servers. Alert messages will be sent of firewall changes and Certificate error messages when using SSH.
• New process for accommodations collection starts March 1, 2010
• Install will need to be upgraded for Windows 7
