Mike and Meredith VorozilchakIn 2013, Meredith and Mike Vorozilchak welcomed their fi rst baby, Parker, into the world. Born via emergency C-section and more than 6 weeks premature, Parker has a rare condition that affects the growth and development of the bones and structures in his head and face. His journey has had many uphill struggles, including numerous surgeries, multiple lengthy hospital stays, and the need for in-home nursing care. Through it all, though, Parker’s spirit and positivity have carried his family through every challenge and he continues to be a shining example of the power of prayer and the innate spark within us.
Parker and his family are so grateful for the amazing team at Happiness House and all of the support they’ve provided over the last year and a half. Every step of the way, Parker has been in great hands with all of his therapists and teachers and every aspect of his care and education has increased his skills and quality of life signifi cantly. He loves going to “school” and all of the activities he takes part in through Happiness House. This organization is an invaluable asset to the families of this community and will forever hold a place in the Vorozilchaks’ hearts.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Rick and Christine CravattaRick suffered a left hemorrhagic stroke in 2013. Together, Rick and Christine were able to fi nd the support Rick needed at CP Rochester. Despite reaching out to many agencies and rehabilitation programs, they were unable to fi nd the services Rick needed to continue on his journey to wellness. CP Rochester was the only agency that would accept him and offered a “maintenance” physical therapy program. Today, the Cravattas credit CP Rochester for not giving up on Rick. For Rick, the PT he receives is so much more than merely maintenance. Rick continues to make progress physically and Rick and Christine are now accomplished ballroom dancers.
