This survey showed me many things. First of all, it showed me that the majority of the grade ten students I interviewed believe that life begins at the moment of conception and agree with the Church’s teachings on it. Precisely 29/34 (85%) of the people I surveyed stated that they believed life begins at conception. However, when I asked in the survey how many people agree with abortion, I got some interesting results. I discovered that out of the 34 grade 10 students I surveyed, 14 of them agreed with abortion and only 20 disagreed. This really shocked me as I expected many people to disagree with abortion as many of them indicated that life begins at conception. After analyzing this data, I concluded that the majority of people that I surveyed believe that life begins at the moment of conception, but they have the mentality that abortion is the only option to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy, so a large amount of people that I surveyed agreed with abortion.
