George Kostuch is an acclaimed producer who has written and produced over 20 independent films since 2001. A Louisiana native, Kostuch got his start in show business upon moving to Los Angeles, where he worked as a successful actor and print model with Wilhelmina Los Angeles (LW1). Today, Kostuch continues to lead film projects with distinguished actors and partnering studios.

After working as an actor and model, Kostuch quickly became interested in working behind the camera. He began producing films with his longtime friends John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle, including The Dry Spell and The Poughkeepsie Tapes . The Dry Spell won a Special Grand Jury Award at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2005, and The Poughkeepsie Tapes was acquired at the Tribeca Film Festival by MGM in 2007.

Kostuch & K7Kostuch went on to found K7, a multi-media company that has produced many science-fiction and action films, including Mutants, Lockjaw and Xtinction: Predator X, all of which were international successes.

Kostuch & K7K-7 has since been split into three subset organizations: K7pictures.com, K7global.com, and BrandK7.com. K7 Pictures focuses on film production; K7 Global focuses on sales; and Brand 7 focuses on advertising.

Awards & RecognitionsKostuch's work has received numerous industry awards

and recognitions, some of which include:

American Bully aka Anytown won Best Screenplay at the Long Island International Film Festival Expo, earned the award of Best Director at Method Fest, was awarded Best Picture at Playhouse West Film Festival and was named Best Overall Feature Film. It also won the Golden Crescent Award at the Charleston Film Festival.

Awards & RecognitionsThe Mysterious Island premiered as a Syfy Original Movie on February 11, 2012, and 2.4 million viewers tuned in, making the film the #1 Nielsen rated Syfy Original of 2012.

Current ProjectsKostuch and K7 are currently overseeing the production of several highly anticipated films, including 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, which is the prequel to The Mysterious Island. Both are based on Jules Verne's literary classics. Some other current projects include Tobe Hooper's Eaten Alive and Gein.
