Me! Hi! My name is Meredith

Duncan. I was born on December 18,

1987, in Greenville, SC, to Lynn and Karen Duncan.

I have one sister named Kayla who is also a teacher.

Education I graduated from Travelers Rest

High School in 2006. I then went on to North Greenville

University where I received a B.A in Early Childhood Education in 2010. North Greenville University - "Where Christ Makes the Difference“.

I received my M.Ed from Furman University in 2011.

I am now a first grade teacher at Gateway Elementary School.

Gateway Elementary At Gateway I teach first grade,

which I love! I love the school’s environment

and the friendly students I see each day.

I know this is where God wants me to be.

oriented and love spending time with them.

We always seem to find time during our busy schedules to keep track of what is going on in each others lives.

family is my husband Josh. Josh and I were married on

June 25, 2011. Josh is a

Hobbies I enjoy spending time with my

husband. The beach is our favorite vacation spot!

I love to read and play with our Puggle named Daisy.

Travel One day I hope to travel all over the world to countries such as France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, and many more!

My Faith My faith is very important to me and

Jesus is my source of strength. My husband and I attend Marietta First

Baptist Church, which is the church that I grew up in. Marietta First Baptist Church

Interests

I love watching football and basketball. I am a huge Gamecocks fan.

I also enjoy listening to many different types of music.

Goals As a teacher I hope to be an example to

my students. I want them to see that learning is fun.

Not only do I want my students to learn the basics of math, science, etc…, but also the fundamentals of life.

I want to create an enriched learning environment.
