The two weeks short-term program was organized by University of Malaya specifically led International Student Centre (ISC) and Kyushu University, Japan in cooperation with the other AsTW partners which are Mahidol University, Ateneo De Manila University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Fukuoka Women’s University, Japan. According to ISC Director, Madam Salmi Marsita Shaari, the number of AsTW participants has increased two times bigger compared to last year’s program. “The number of participants is increasing this year which we have altogether 42 participants”, said Salmi. “This program was initially for students from Japan and all ASEAN countries. However, we managed to extend the invitation to our partner that comes from non-Japan and no-ASEAN countries this year which makes the program more wonderful”, added Salmi. AsTW is a three series program in Malaysia. The first series was done by University of Malaya in 2018, led by Asia-Europe Institute. ASEAN in Today’s World (AsTW) 2019 was successfully ended last 06 March 2019.

The two weeks short-term program was organized by University of Malaya specifically led International Student Centre (ISC) andKyushu University, Japan in cooperation with the other AsTW partners which are Mahidol University, Ateneo De Manila University,
