ABOUT NETALUX®
Netalux was originally established in 2017 as being a purely service providing company, executing laser cleaning assignments for customers. Because we only offer laser cleaning as a cleaning technique, we were able to specialise in this technology. We have used this operational and practical knowledge for the development of our own laser cleaning machines, built for users, by users. Because we are users ourselves, we know where changes are needed, and how we can adapt the machines to your needs. The user is always key to us, and our machines are built to significantly increase your productivity!
Besides Services and Products, Netalux has a third branch: the Netalux Academy, where we share our knowledge about laser cleaning, and where we accompany you in implementing this innovative technology. This way, you will see faster results. Our goal is to make this human and environmentally friendly technology available for as many companies as possible!
Thanks to this hybrid business model where we are both user, producer and knowledge centre, we are the perfect partner for you. We make laser cleaning easy and applicable: you don’t have to be an engineer or programmer to use the Netalux laser cleaning machines. Netalux started out as a service company, a contractor using nothing but laser cleaning technology to clean all kinds of surfaces for all kinds of industries. This meant pushing through to get results and getting to know the technology to its core. To understand what it can and can’t do.
This first hand experience allowed us to become a leading company in our industry. No challenge is too big for us, on the contrary, we like to think together with our customer to find the best possible solution!

PRODUCTS
Our experience in laser cleaning has taught us a lot about what laser equipment should look like and how it should be built to serve the user.
That’s why we started from scratch and looked closely at every component. Each and every step of the way, we had the user in mind. These machines are built to be productive. The operator should be able to get results right away, without having to go through the learning curve of programming.
Netalux laser cleaning equipment can be used in all circumstances. It can withstand rain, dust, heat and cold. You can count on it to work! Reliability and safety are our equipment’s backbones.
On top of that, we have added features that allow you to work ergonomically, such as a rotatable laser head and a more user friendly embedded software. You’ll get feedback from the machine itself on how you’re doing!
TECHNOLOGY
Laser cleaning works according to the principle of pulsed laser ablation: the laser puls is sent to the surface and penetrates the contaminant to then reflect on the substrate. Through a combination of different processes a layer of gas is formed between the substrate and the contaminant, which will cause the contaminant to break free. The combination of these processes is called ablation.
Netalux developed a methodology to control this process and to capture the released particles almost immediately. This immediate capture means that the contaminants are not being spread around. There are no large air movements being created, and the contamination of the environment is reduced to a minimum.
Because we use a pulsed laser beam, there is almost no heating up of the substrate: the light pulses are so short that the substrate does not heat up, or in case it heats up it’s minimal (depending on the material of the substrate of course).

WHAT LASER CLEANING CAN’T DO
Laser cleaning doesn’t offer a magical solution for every surface treatment issue. So don’t believe everything you see on the internet!
Laser cleaning has (like every technique) its limitations and will not always be the fastest of all cleaning techniques.
Laser cleaning machines will have a hard time removing heavy corrosion and wil remove thick layers of coating at a lower speed.
You can’t learn the technology in just a few hours. Your operators will need thorough training, since it takes time and experience to be able to gain speed and efficiency. That’s why we created the Netalux Academy.

Our laser cleaning machines are a great tool in challenging environments where conditions are dangerous for people or threatening the environment.
If used well, it’s a safe and stable technology that allows for cleaning or treating surfaces without damaging the substrate.
The setup is easy. Plug & Play!
The results are most often cleaner because cleaning with light leaves no residue.
You’ll be able to work without creating any air movements; safeguarding adjacent personnel and installations.
Laser cleaning creates no secondary waste and you’ll have a lot more control over direct suction making sure you can safely capture the contaminant you’re removing.
All of this will reduce the total cost of ownership, and will improve the efficiency of the project.

HAND HELD LASER
We developed a handle that allows you to use the equipment instinctively and for longer periods of time. Its ergonomics are built to help you to laser under difficult angles, and will efficiently redestribute weight.
Thanks to its smart electronics, the machine analyzes the job to be done and gives you instant feedback about speed and safety through the integrated screen on the laser head, as well as through usefull haptich feedback signals. On top of that, you can now choose the different settings you’d like to use directly from your working post. No need to stop working and head back for the generator. The screen will guide you through the menus easily.
The integraded headlight helps you to see what you’re doing. Sounds pretty basic, but it’s a life saver when you’re working in confined spaces or tight corners.
In the front, we added a 360° adjustable handle, making it easier to personalize to your need.

NX1: “NEEDLE®”
Our small, versatile NX1 product line is specifically designed for mobility in every sense. This lightweight, yet robust tool is perfect for smaller jobs such as weld cleaning or spot cleaning.
Weighing no more than 20 kgs, it is equipped with strong eyelets for easy lifting along with multiple handles to make carrying it easier. Because we know you don’t want to carry the machine around like a porcelain doll, we’ve made sure its contours are strong and impact resistant. Even the screen on top is made out of hardened glass for extra durability.
You’ll be enjoying this baby in all circumstances and weather conditions. It’s built to be productive. And whenever you’re not using it, you can store it in its IP68 heavy duty transport case.

NETALUX ACADEMY
The Netalux Academy constitutes the third branch of our company. The knowledge that we gain in our Services branch doesn’t only go to the Products branch for the development of new machines, but is also passed on in part to the Academy. Laser cleaning is a fantastic technology, but it is not always easy to implement it correctly. That’s why Netalux offers both theoretical and practical trainings, so that you can learn more about the technology and its do’s and don’ts, making sure you’re ready to use the technology in an efficient manner. In this way we want to make laser cleaning available for as many companies as possible!
The theoretical training will cover some basic principles, as well as a scientific foundation on how the technology works. In the practical training you will be able to practise yourself with the laser cleaning machines.
The training can be adapted to your needs and wishes, or based on the knowledge you already have. Moreover, the trainings will be given in the mother language of the group, making sure that customers from all over the world can follow a training at our Netalux Academy. After completion of the programme, every participant will receive a certificate.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
To develop the next generation of laser cleaning equipment, we have integrated our key activities in a brand new research and development department spearheaded by our very own products.
This allow us to develop prototypes in-house as well as test our software and electronics developments without relying on third party suppliers.
The R&D team is critical for us to be able to develop, test and improve our equipment first hand on a day-to-day basis. Feedback is taken to heart and updates will be released frequently.
Together with the Academy, our R&D team is here to help and answer questions about your applications, the technology and its possibilities in the future. We’re always open to crazy new ideas and are constantly looking looking for partners in co-creation to take our ideas to the next level and bring them to life.
