About the Perforce FoundationThe Perforce Foundation was started in 1999 so that employees could annually direct Perforce money to charities and causes they choose. In 2011, a staff-operated Perforce Giving Committee was established to serve as a voice for all employees to direct additional charitable giving. Through Perforce’s Giving Program, each employee can donate $1,500 annually to three 501(c)(3) charities or good causes of their choosing. Combined with the additional donations made by our Giving Committee, the Perforce Foundation has donated over $4.8 million since its inception.

Janet Dryer | Chief Executive Offi cerAs the CEO of Perforce Software, Janet is responsible for leading the company and executing its mission to serve its customers. Prior to joining Perforce, she was the CEO of the HelpSystems family of companies. During her tenure as CEO, HelpSystems increased sales from $19M to $110M, completed 14 acquisitions and grew to more than 280 employees in 13 locations worldwide. Over 55,000 installations of the software are currently in use. Janet holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the College of St. Benedict.

Mark Ties | Chief Financial OfficerMark brings twenty-eight years of experience in accounting, fi nance, operations and mergers & acquisitions, having served the last eighteen years as CFO and COO for public and private equity-backed technology companies. His most recent positions include CFO/COO of private equity-backed HelpSystems, Inc., and CFO at publicly held Xata/XRS Corporation. Mark worked with the management team and investors to double the size of HelpSystems while also managing the organization through eleven acquisitions and two successful sales of the company. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Minnesota State Mankato and is a Certifi ed Public Accountant.

Tony Smith | Vice President of Engineering Tony has more than 25 years of experience in the software industry. Over the course of his 15 year career at Perforce, he has built and developed high-performing teams across Development, Technical Support and IT. Tony has made signifi cant contributions to Perforce’s products, both as the sole developer of various components and as the architect behind key projects. While he’s still a software developer at heart, Tony now leads Perforce’s world-class engineering team and oversees the development of our product.

Chris Dobbrow | Vice President of Sales Chris Dobbrow’s 25 years in technology include 15 years in senior management, where he created and executed revenue strategies focused on major global accounts. Before joining Perforce, Chris was VP of Worldwide Sales at SourceForge, where he successfully transformed the sales strategy for the largest global repository of open source software. During over a decade at technology marketing and media specialist Ziff Davis, Inc., he served as SVP Group Publisher and EVP Corporate Sales. Chris holds a B.S. degree from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics.

Matt Attaway | Vice President of Community Support Matt is an expert in product development and community management with 15 years of experience in the industry. During his time with Perforce he has worked as a tester, developer, researcher, designer, manager, and ops engineer. He led the team that developed Perforce’s open source collaboration community, the Perforce Workshop. Matt was also the lead designer of Perforce Streams and designed and developed the original Windows Explorer plugin. In his current role as Community Support leader, Matt ensures customers around the world are well supported and educated.

Perforce Helix: Key Components

Perforce Helix is a unified platform for collaborative development and protection of any type of intellectual property (IP)—from code to environment configurations, documents, multimedia and beyond.

Our enterprise-grade solution supports tens of thousands of concurrent users and hundreds of terabytes of data. It’s been field-tested to support more than 100 million transactions a day.

Helix is an open platform supported by well-documented APIs, allowing users to customize Helix to their specifications. SDKs are available in C/C++, Java, .NET, Ruby, Python, PHP and other formats.

Helix offers three deployment options:

• Helix Enterprise: Deployed behind the firewall within a physical or virtual datacenter

• Helix Enterprise OnDemand: Managed Helix Enterprise, hosted by Perforce

• Helix Cloud: Free private repo hosting for new content or existing work from Git/GitHub or DropBox repositories

Helix Versioning Engine: Helix Versioning Engine stores and versions any type of assets for any number of users, with no limits to file size or type. It supports role-specific desktop apps for different workflows, including native P4 DVCS, Git and centralized workflows, allowing various teams to share code and collaborate. Helix Versioning Engine’s federated architecture synchronizes global teams and supports collaboration without conflict; its global visibility shows which files are checked out and by whom and offers powerful folder, text and image diffs to compare history. It features clustering capabilities for workload distribution and high availability, as well as concurrency and scale for highly automated continuous integration and continuous delivery practices. Helix Versioning Engine offers fine-grained access control at the file level by user, IP address or path, as well as complete traceability with per-file access logs for audit compliance.

Helix Threat Detection: Helix Threat Detection applies advanced behavioral analytics to user activities to proactively surface threats to the IP stored inthe Helix Versioning Engine. It tracks user and project patterns to identify high-risk projects, people and behavior. It uses probabilistic math to assess the risk level for each threat event and pinpoints real-time and historical IP theft. Through intuitive risk scores, it surfaces high-risk threats and separates them from the noise.

Helix Swarm: Helix Swarm is a collaboration engine for all types of intellectual property. It unites teams to formalize content reviews, foster brainstorming and keep projects moving forward. Contributors share files, comment, suggest tasks, vote up or down and submit final work directly within its elegant, web-based interface. Swarm automates the entire collaboration process via notifications and makes it easy to monitor progress.

Helix GitSwarm: Based on the popular GitLab collaboration suite, Helix GitSwarm is a complete ecosystem for Git-based development. It supports a pure Git-based workflow that developers can use to push code, create pull-requests, comment and track issues, while the automatic mirroring connects their work to Helix Enterprise for project visibility and security. Helix GitSwarm enables the sharing of code and content across teams, protected branches, a wide range of permissions and project visibility controls.

Helix Insights: Helix Insights offers analytics for code-line metrics, quality and user analytics. It presents vital code stability metrics to monitor the performance of projects, systems and teams. And it includes a customizable dashboard for any information from Helix or third-party sources. It integrates with Continuous Delivery pipelines for a comprehensive overview of the software delivery lifecycle.
