Additionally, we offer K12 offcampus socialemotional programming, ABA programing for students with autism, and a transition program for students aged 18 – 21 years. More than 17,500 students from the Bend, Sunriver, and La Pine areas are served by our schools. The district enjoys exceptional community support. With the highest percentage “yes” vote in history, the community passed a bond in May 2013 to build new middle and elementary schools and complete nearly 150 maintenance and preservation projects in schools across the district. Nestled at the base of the Cascade Mountain Range, the district borders alpine forests and the high desert. The area is well known for its 300+ days of sunshine a year, making it a great place to live and work. From its agricultural and forest product roots, the Bend community has grown into the commercial, medical, educational, and cultural center for the region.
