ABOUT THE CLUB

The Yinnar Football & Netball Club is in its 134th year of serving the Yinnar & district community. In this time, the Club has been reasonably successful, winning 52 netball and 60 football premierships. The Club has grown from fielding one football team to today’s seven football and eight netball teams, as well as the very important introductory Auskick & Net Set Go programs. These teams and programs cater for netballers and footballers from primary school age to open age senior netball and football competition. The Club operates from the Yinnar Recreation Reserve and actively contributes to the Committee of Management that oversees all management functions of the Reserve. Facilities at the Reserve available for members and players use include two full size football ovals, two floodlit netball courts, social room, multi-purpose room and gym facilities. The Club fields the following competition teams:

Mid Gippsland Football League: Senior, Reserve, Under 18 & Under 16

Central Gippsland Junior Football League: Under 14, Under 12 & Under 10

Mid Gippsland Netball Association: A grade, B grade, C grade, D grade, 17 & Under & 15 & Under

Churchill Leisure Centre Indoor: 13 & Under, 11 & Under, Net Set Go The Clubs junior development philosophy and policy is to ensure Coaches at junior level are appropriately skilled and accredited so that junior players both enjoy playing football and netball and are given every opportunity to reach their potential. Senior teams are selected on merit, if junior players are capable of playing at a higher level, they will be given the opportunity to do so. As part of its Junior Development Program, the Club conducts the very successful Auskick program. Football clinics are also conducted in the local Yinnar and Yinnar South Primary Schools giving students a fun introduction to Australian football. The Club facilities and resources are always available to schools and other community organisations that may have a need for such assistance. The Club Committee welcomes and encourages feedback from members, players and the community on any issue relating to Club activities. Input is possible by contacting any Committee member, or by attending Committee meetings; details of meetings are listed in this Handbook. It is hoped that all participating in the Club in any way will enjoy the experience and look forward to future involvement. V1 – print date 23/03/17

ABOUT THIS HANDBOOK

The purpose of the Club Handbook is to provide a resource for our players, members, supporters and stakeholders that will assist in understanding Club operations and activities for the 2017 season, as well as acting as a directory for key personnel. The Club Committee has determined there will be two main ways that we will provide information to our community over 2017. These are:

yinnarfnc.tidyhq.com, will be the new Club website from this year on. Here you will be able to find all information and documents of the Club.

We will also be utilizing our community Facebook page facebook.com/yinnarfnc to ensure people are kept up to date on events and information.

As Handbook information is subject to change, the Handbook will be updated from time to time through the season and advised via our TidyHQ website with updated electronic versions available on line. Hardcopies of this handbook will be available upon request. The Club Committee welcomes any feedback on information that you would like to see included in the Handbook, or current content. We hope you enjoy the season ahead.
