The Guardian SocietyIn 1975, the Guardian Society was created to honor the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s most generous individual donors.

During the last four decades, UMMC alumni and other gracious benefactors have helped the School of Health Related Professions maintain its standard of excellence by giving to the Guardian Society.

These “founding members” have helped UMMC achieve unparalleled success in its threefold mission of providing exceptional patient care, training the next generation of health care providers and engaging in innovative research.

In reigniting this revered society, all School of Health Related Professions alumni and friends are invited to join the Guardian Society by giving annually to the school. All alumni and friends giving to the school’s area(s) of greatest need will receive recognition and benefits annually at the appropriate membership level. These annual gifts will ensure the future of health care education at UMMC.

Membership BenefitsUMMC could not continue its work without its valued donors. Each calendar year, active Guardian Society members will receive numerous benefits based upon the amount of their annual donation. These may include:

• A special Guardian Society lapel pin

• Exclusive information about the school

• Official School of Health Related Professions publications

• Invitations to special events with the UMMC Vice Chancellor and/or the Dean of your School
