We meet on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm at

About the Society

Bradford Photographic Society was formed by a small group

of enthusiasts in November 1860 and has been active in the

city ever since. This makes it one of the oldest photographic

societies in the world.

We have a series of weekly meetings from September until

June featuring a mix of informative and instructional lec-

tures, social events, practical sessions and competitions, all

in a friendly atmosphere where help and advice are always

on hand.

Membership is open to all, whatever their levels of experi-

ence or equipment.

All rounders—4 images , 1 from each section with a choice of category ~ Portrait or People / Figure Study ~ Landscape or Pictorial ~ Nature or Photojournalism / Sport ~ Record or Still Life Unless otherwise specified, entries for all competitions can be either mono-chrome or colour. Open competitions may be entered by any paid up member of BPS. Novice in this context means any member who has not previously won a BPS print or DPI competition.
