FACULTY OF CHEMISTRY

- BEFORE - Faculty of Chemistry (FC), as a deparment of the

University of Belgrade Универзитета у Београду,

originates from the Lycée and the High School.

In 1853 in the Lyceum was formed a new natural-

technical department which, among other sciences,

started teching chemistry.

In 1961, FC moved into the current building.

FACULTY OF CHEMISTRY

- BEFORE -

In the middle of the last century, in 1947,

Faculty of Science (PMF) was founded in

Belgrade – includes chemistry.

In 1990 transformation of the Faculty of

Science occurred. Chemistry is separated

into an independent faculty and since then

at the University of Belgrade we have

Faculty of Chemistry.

(1947) until now:

Chemistry has graduated over 4200 students, of which

445 "Bologna students"

Finished 135 specializations

Defended over 532 magister thesis,

Completed more than 440 master works, and

Defended over 536 doctoral dissertations.
