    In Rethymno, in the Kouklinos family business, we create local traditional tastes from Crete, but also from the Mediterranean region.

    Our raw materials such as virgin olive oil, wine, wheat that has been grown and nourished by the Cretan sun, salt from the Libyan Sea, all flavored by greens and herbs from the Cretan mountains, seal our quality.

    Our dairy products from traditional farmers are blended together with herbs, aromatic plants and vegetables from the gardens of our island.

    We will take you on a journey of aromas and tastes with our Grand Mother’s recipes that were shown to us by our parents and old monastery recipes that are combined with new ideas and original flavors.

    Some people say that a recipe is not enough, love is also needed to flavor up your dish and they are right, that is why we have many loyal friends everywhere, because we love what we do!

    Gyros pies - "Gyropita"

    Spicy “gyropita”A frothy dough, filled with already cut gyros without a lot of fat, different spices (not hot), tomato and white cheese for those of you that love oriental tastes!

    A frothy slowly fermented aromatic dough kneaded with olive oil and baked on a calcined plate without many fats. It has a strong similarity with “pita” bread, filled with 3 different flavors. The contents weight is mainly meat, from Greek pork or chicken gyros, with white cheese (feta-type), tomato, parsley, herbs and spices. They are precooked as the focaccias at 95%.

    “Voskopita” with split peas A “Voskopita” with mashed split peas and potato puree, all cooked with extra virgin olive oil and topped with parsley, estragon and scallion.

    Authentic Cretan pie “Voskopita”An original group of monastic pies called “Voskopita” with slowly fermented aromatic dough that captures all its aromas, in addition to the extra virgin olive oil. An amazingly thin “fyllo” with home cooked fillings. All the pies are fully baked and just need thawing.
