The Early years…

Abraham was born in Kentucky on February 12, 1809. Abraham walked two miles to school

every day. When he was nine his mother died. Abraham worked as a clerk in a general

store.

Abraham Lincoln is famous because…• He was elected

president two times.• Then he led the Civil War and

ended slavery.

The Later Years…

• Two years later he became a lawyer and moved to springs • Field

• Abraham fell in love with Mary Todd then they were later married in 1842

• Then they had four sons Robert Edward William and Thomas

• On April 9th 1865 that day the war ended

Abraham’s impact on other’s lives…

• Abraham was elected president in 1860

• Then the Civil war began

• Later that year the president was reelected

• The war lasted 4 years

• 5 days later one evening April 14th Abraham and Mary Todd were at a theater and John Wilkes Booth shot the president

My opinion

• Abraham is my favorite president because he was a good president and his nickname honest Abe
