Abstract The experiment prepared standard solutions of solids, ie crystalline NaOH, and solution of concentrated HCl 1.0 N, respectively 250 ml. Preparation of standard solutions in this experiment using the known concentration and the unknown concentration of solution. Preparation of standard solution of liquid, usually called dilution. If the liquid level of concentration is not known, it can be determined by determining the specific gravity (with a pycnometer or aerometer), after that set the levels by means of entering data density which has been known to the conversion table. If the standard solution made from solids, then how to make it was very simple, by weighing the solids (in bottles weigh), and then diluted with a little distilled water and transferred into the measuring flask volume size in accordance with the desired normality. The formula used is the formula molarity or normality. In the preparation of the solution the first thing to do is weigh the container used filled with a solution will be made . Then add the substance which will be made solution with distilled water, then shake it until homogeneous, after that ready-made solution, weighed, measured temperature, and determined the nature of dissolution . For dilution the solution that has been made to enter into a pint flask dilute with distilled water and placing it to mark boundaries, whisk until homogeneous, and then determine the concentration of the dilution results. And from the above experimental results it can be concluded that, 1.0 N NaOH solution 250 ml, dilution crystals obtained from 10 grams of NaOH and 1.0 N HCl solution of 250 ml, obtained from dilution of concentrated HCl 21.5 ml. Keywords: solution, standard solutions, dilution.
