Agenda Books All students will copy their homework
assignments into their agenda book weekly.
Students’ reading logs will be stapled in the front of their agenda books. Each night they are expected to record the title of the book that they read and have a parent sign the calendar.
ELA Homework PolicyThe 4th grade team’s homework policy is as follows:
1. All students will copy their homework in their agenda book on Mondays. The reading log should be signed on a daily basis by a parent/guardian.
2. Homework can be done with adult supervision, but the student should complete the assignment.
3. All homework should be returned by the assigned date.
4. Students’ who are absent should see the teacher for each subject immediately.
5. Make up work (class work and homework) should be completed in a timely fashion. For every day absent, he/she will have a day to make up that work.
Reading Requirements
Children who are solid readers:
* perform better in school
* have a healthy self-image
* become lifelong learners
All of the these outcomes lead to our children’s viability in a competitive world.
