Spice Star Academy is a revolutionary institution that has changed the face of aviation academies in India. Our academy offers a premier Cadet Pilot Training Programme that
provides a platform to young aspirants and trains them to make a career in aviation.
The Pilot Programme is introduced to cater to the growing global need of new pilots and to give impetus to the Regional Connectivity Scheme. The Pilot Programme offered by our
academy aims to create ample opportunities for the aspiring pilots.
We, at academy assure a job with SpiceJet to our students upon successful completion of the Pilot Programme. The students are given opportunities to get training at leading and reputed
flying academies across the world. Therefore, providing the right course to their career.
Our faculty at the academy includes a SpiceJet Ground School approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and highly qualified Ground Instructors. The ground training
is held at a SpiceJet facility situated at Gurugram, with over 10,000 square feet of well-equipped classroom facilities. The CPL flight training takes place at a SpiceJet designated flying academy and the aircraft ‘Type Rating’ is conducted by SpiceJet.
The academy in collaboration with reputed universities that are recognised byUniversity Grants Commission (UGC) offers Bachelor of Business Administration
(BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees to the aspiringCadet Pilots along with their Pilot Programme.
The following procedure must be followed for the application and selection for the Pilot Programme:
1. Online registration Applicant must first register online on: https://apply.spicestaracademy.edu.in/pta. The applicant must ensure that all the above-mentioned eligibility criteria are met. Please note that a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand) is required to be paid online upon the submission of the application
2. Application screening Once the application has been submitted, the same shall undergo internal screening process. In case the applicant is selected for further assessment the Academy team will get in touch with details regarding the selection process through an e-mail and/or SMS.
3. Selection process fee Upon getting the confirmation from the Academy for the screening process, applicant
will be required to pay a non-refundable assessment fee of `25000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) through online payment on https://pilot.spicestaracademy.edu.in/screening-payment.php.
4. Selection Process The selection process is scientifically designed and divided into 4 phases to determine the suitability of the applicant for the position of an airline pilot
Application and selection process
We invite all young women and men aspiring to become airline pilots to apply for the Pilot Programme. The applicants must fulfil the below-required criteria:
1. Must be an Indian national or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
2. Should be between the age of 17 to 35 years at the time of applying for the Pilot Programme
3. Should have a minimum height of 158 cms. (approximately 5 ft. 2 inches)
4. Minimum educational qualification should be higher secondary (10+2) with a minimum score of 60% (sixty percent) each in English, Physics, and Mathematics. The requirement of the educational qualification may differ on the basis of the courses opted for under the Pilot Programme
5. Must be fluent in English (both verbal and written)
6. Must hold a valid Indian passport
7. Must have successful clearance of class II medical tests as per applicable DGCA guidelines

NOTES:Applicants should note that they must complete each phase successfully to be able to move to the next one
Phases 1, 2, 3, and 4 are usually completed on the same day, unless postponed. The applicants duly updated
Final results are announced on the same day after Phase 4 of the test, unless postponed

Type rating syllabus as provided in DGCA CAR section 7, Series B, Part XIX, Issue ll
* Type Rating is a qualification required to fly a specific ‘TYPE’ of aircraft e.g. B737, Q400 etc. Any aircraft with more than 5,700 kg maximum take-off weight or turbine power requires a ‘Type Rating’ to operate. A ‘Type Rating’ course consists of a technical ground school course that covers the aircraft system and performance, and a simulator course. This course teaches the Cadet Pilots how to fly the aircraft in a ‘full flight simulator’ that simulates normal and emergency situations.
140 hours of Ground School Training (Pre-flying academy) and Single Engine Flight Time along with recommended syllabus as provided in:

Scholarship Scholarships are offered tomeritorious applicants basedon the following criteria:
Certification and degree
Upon successful completion of the Pilot
Programme, the cadet pilot will graduate
with a Commercial Pilot License issued by
DGCA and FAA. The cadet pilots who had
opted for the BBA/MBA course shall also
be awarded with the relevant degrees upon
successful completion of the course. The
DGCA and the universities shall issue the
relevant certification and degree to each
graduating cadet pilot for the respective
programme. SpiceJet has no role in the
issuance of any certificate or degree.
Basic compensation and other benefits (remuneration) shall be mentioned
and agreed under the employment agreement. This agreement shall be
conducted between the cadet pilot and SpiceJet on or before the date of
commencement of employment. The remuneration payable according to
the terms of employment agreement shall be subject to the usual
statutory and other deductions, including tax and social security
contributions normally required to be withheld by an employer in India.
The terms and conditions of employment shall be based on SpiceJet’s
employment policy prevailing at the time.Rem

4. Assistance with documentation for visa shall be provided. However, visa costs to be separately borne by cadet pilot and issuance of the visa must be at the sole discretion of the respective embassy
5. Accommodation and meal shall be provided to the outstation cadet pilots during the ground training phase in GurugramA

4. The Cadet Pilot fails to attend and/or clear the required trainings within the stipulated timelines as mentioned herein
5. The Cadet Pilot does not possess any of the qualifications which he/she claimed to have obtained
6. The Cadet Pilot is in violation of the CODE OF CONDUCT of SpiceJet and SpiceStar Academy, SpiceJet designated Flying School, and the University during the Pilot Programme
Withdrawal/failure to continue with the pilot programThe admission to the Pilot Programme is strictly provisional andmay be revoked if:
