The minimum requirements to enter as an ACCA student are:

�Two A levels and three GCSEs in five separate subjects, including English and Maths, or equivalent OR

�For students with CAPE, you must complete year two and have at least six units in total (Grades 1 to 4) in order to be accepted as an ACCA student OR

�Successful completion of the Foundation in Accountancy Modules FAB,FFA and FMA or CAT qualified.

Upon completion of all 14 papers of the ACCA programme,completion of the professional ethics module and having 3 years relevant practical experience, you can apply for ACCA membership.

Can I obtain exemptions based on my past qualifications:

No exemptions are available from Professional level exams. Relevant degree holders from ACCA-accredited institutions may be awarded exemptions for up to all nine exams within the Fundamentals level and register directly at the Professional level.

CAT passed finalists will be awarded exemptions from the Knowledge module - Paper F1, Accountant in Business, Paper F2, Management Accounting, and Paper F3, Financial Accounting.

Once you meet the entry requirements, your next step is to complete the ACCA registration form.

NB: Registration forms along with all relevant supporting documentation MUST be submitted into the office no later than 15th December 2011 in order to reach ACCA’s office by the due dates below. The relevant registration fees listed below must also be included.

• Registration Fee (ACCA): £77.00 15th December 2011 • Subscription Fee (ACCA): £77.00 Due by January each year. Will be due Jan 2012.

All fees in £ (British pounds) must be paid in the form of a bank draft payable to ACCA.

Students MUST be registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) in order to sit examinations.

The following fees are payable to ICATT:

• Registration Fee: TT$230.00 15th December 2011• Subscription Fee: TT$230.00 January each year/ payable directly to ICATT . Will be

due Jan 2012.

Registration and Subscription Fees to the respective bodies can be submitted together.

HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST FOR TUITION?

Our ACCA course is GATE approved… What does this mean?

100% of the tuition fee for the Fundamentals level (F1 to F9) will be paid by the MSTTE.

50% of the tuition fee for the Professionals level (P1 to P7) will be paid by the MSTTE as this level has achieved post-graduate status.

HOW CAN I ACCESS THE GATE PROGRAM?

GATE is accessible by only citizens of Trinidad and Tobago who have resided in T & T for the past three years. Proof of citizenship is needed to access GATE... ID card, Passport or Birth Certificate only. Drivers Permit is not accepted.Parents Signature is required for students under 18.

If you are doing the fundamentals level, simply

• Complete and return the REQUEST FOR CLEARANCE and GATE form upon enrolment

• Ensure copies of the following are attached:•Receipt for enrolment fee to Omardeen’s.

• Birth Certificate or ID card or passport (supporting your citizenship status)

• Job letter confirming 3 years work experience or recent A’level results or recent Income Tax returns

• F4-F9 students - any of the following:

1. Results slip from previous exams sitting confirming completion of papers required for continued funding (See GATE guidelines in the induction pack)2. Printout of personal details and exam status pages from online account.

If you are doing the professionals level, you will need to

• Pay half of tuition fees upon enrollment.

• Complete and return the REQUEST FOR CLEARANCE and the GATE form uponenrolment.

HOW MANY CLAIMS CAN I MAKE THROUGH GATE?

WHAT IF I'M NOT GOING THROUGH GATE?

• Full Tuition Fees are payable 50% upon enrollment and the remaining 50% by 29th February 2012.

N.B. Failure to pay fees in full by the due dates will result in the student having to pay the full cost for each study school they wish to attend.

WHEN DO I PAY FOR BOOKS?

• Books and Revision fees are payable as follows:$450.00 per paper upon enrollment and the remaining amount by 31st January 2012.

GATE covers the tuition fee for each paper of the programme. Repeat entitlements are as follows:Knowledge papers no repeat entitlementSkills papers repeat entitlement for a maximum of 2 papersProfessional papers repeat entitlement for a maximum of 2 papers

Written examinations are held in June and December each year for all papers of ACCA. Computer based exams are available for F1 to F3 and are scheduled throughout theyear at each branch. Exam entry forms for written exams are sent to registered students each February and August , but students are encouraged to register online for exams.

Entries for Computer Based exams are done directly with any branch of Omardeens.

thWritten Examination Fees must reach ACCA no later than 8 March 2012. These fees are as follows:

Knowledge papers £64.00 per paperSkills £80.00 per paperProfessional £94.00 per paper

Fees in Pounds are subject to change without notice.

Computer based exam fees for F1 to F3 are $650.00 per paper.Students taking GATE must do F1 to F3 computer based.

Would you like to get a degree while you are doing ACCA?Then do the Oxford Brookes degree in Applied Accounting. ACCA has partnered with the Oxford Brookes University to enable students to apply for the degree on successful completion of the Fundamentals level of the ACCA programme and the Professional Ethics module.

How can you apply?• Complete a Research and Analysis Project comprising of 6500 words and a key

skills statement of 2000 words.• Choose a mentor who you can work with during your project

1. ONLY citizens of Trinidad and Tobago must complete and sign the gate form and submit birth certificate and any form of Photo Identification (Drivers permit is not accepted).

2. CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR SECURITY REASONS: Payment may be made either by Linx, Credit Card, DirectDeposit or Cheque.

3. Fees are for tuition/term only. Separate fees apply for books and study school.

4. Study School must be taken during the TERM of the course taken. THEY CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO A DIFFERENT EXAM SITTING.

5. Fees are non-refundable or transferable including Computer Based exam fees.

6. All Students discontinuing their course should complete the discontinuation form and submit into the office on the date of the last class attended stating clearly the reason for discontinuing and the papers discontinuing. Credit notes will be prepared based on the date this form is received in the office. Students discontinuing will no longer be entitled to the package prices listed but will instead be charged full prices for classes and books taken as stated in the discontinuation policy. Credit notes must be used within 12 months.Students taking GATE must attend the first 7 weeks of classes. GATE students discontinuing after the first 6 weeks of classes would not receive a credit note.

7. Books are given out only when gate form is completed, received and student pays for books/study schools.

9. Study Room facilities and reference books are available only to registered students of our Institute.

10. Any tuition fees not paid by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education will be paid by the student.

11. Students ACCA registration number must be provided to the Institution if claiming through GATE.

12. Students must keep copies of bank drafts for registration, subscription fees paid to ACCA and letter of acceptance from ACCA.
