2017 Fall Training Series

Required Knowledge for Service, Sales and Design Personnel

Our Instructor will provide an overview of the ACCA Residential Design Process and the

use of Available Static Pressure, Total Effective Length and Friction Charts to properly size

air distribution systems. A variety of classroom exercises will solidify the participant’s

understanding of key concepts needed to properly design a new system, as well as to

evaluate existing duct systems on problem analysis and sales calls.

Those who routinely use computer software for duct design will also benefit from

learning the background calculations involved, which will allow them to spot any critical

errors in their designs.

ACCA Manual D is a listed International Code reference and part of the Mechanical

Contractor’s License exams in most states. Those currently preparing for their exam will

certainly benefit from attending this course.

Airflow problems continue to be the leading cause of non-product-related customer

complaints. There are easy ways to assure your air distribution systems are right and

your customers are happy. A little time, a little math…bring your calculator, but no

computers please. This is the tried and true “old-school” fundamentals.

Training Workbook Provided.

Participants should bring their own copy of ACCA Manual D.
