What is Accedo 2.0?
It’s a 20 month long program, from 2009 to 2011, developed for creating
and testing a virtual community with social networking features,
designed under accessibility and usability criteria and to be used
by mild intellectual disability people.
It is funded by Advance 2 Plans of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism
and Trade.

Goals
• Improving access to ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) of people with disabilities.
• Enhance communication and the use made of the Internet by people with intellectual disabilities.
• Improve the accessibility of web 2.0 on the Internet.
• Facilitate the social integration of people with disabilities.

Who is involved?
Esplai Foundation in Barcelona, UNED in
Madrid and FASAD in Gijon as program
developers and managers with the support of 8
entities from 7 different Spanish regions that
launch pilot testing of the community.
