The Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) Master’s and Certificate Program from Washington State University is a proven leader in distance engineering management education. The METM degree is a merger of technical and business skill sets. METM students gain an understanding of concepts that can be directly applied to their current professions in engineering and technology sectors. The program focuses on management of projects, people, financial resources, and organizations in the advanced industries sectors of the economy. The advanced industries sector encompasses 50 industries ranging from manufacturing sectors such as aerospace, to utilities, transportation, logistics, health sciences, information and communications technology (ICT) among others. An MBA is a business-focused degree. MBA students gain tactical business skills and big picture problem solving. The highly ranked, WSU Carson College of Business online MBA program offers general business focus as well as concentrations in finance, marketing, international business and others. The Masters in Engineering and Technology Management (METM) prepares students to become successful leaders. Students learn to apply new knowledge to help their companies thrive in an ever-changing industry. This interdisciplinary program offers both engineering management and technology-focused business courses. The METM Degree requires: i 30 semester hours (10 courses) i Three credits of a final non-thesis case-study or capstone

To earn your Master of Engineering and Technology Management (METM) degree, you will need at least one course from each of the six core areas listed below, four electives, which can be chosen from the elective courses or core area courses not used to satisfy core requirements, and master’s independent capstone course (E M 701). Master’s Degree Requirements and Courses

The ETM Graduate Certificate Program utilizes courses from the METM degree to focus on one of seven areas. Each certificate requires the successful completion of only four courses. You may earn more than one certificate, or can work on certificates and master’s program concurrently. Course credits for a certificate may be applied to an METM degree (some limits may apply).
