Sensor technology is an emerging niche area

and we recently gave a group of New Zealand

and UK businesses exposure to new systems

and product developments through a joint

project with the British High Commission.

We brought the group together at a conference

in Wellington to enable them to learn from

each other about innovations in sensor

technology, exchange ideas and establish

relationships for shared initiatives.

Technology incubators identify intellectual property (IP)

protected ideas or technologies that may or may not have

an associated entrepreneur. They concentrate on building

a business around the IP to get it to the stage where it is

attractive to angel or venture capital investors.

Incubators also help start-ups accelerate their path to market with:

Technology and market validation

Funding and investment capital for eligible businesses.

How does their funding work?
