patient or click on “Archived Items” search for it.

Double-click the book to open it:

To skim through the book quickly, use

this scroll bar.

This location indicates that we’re at the first place in the

book. Location isn’t quite the same as a page number.

How many there are can vary from one format to the

How to Visit a Location As an example, I’m going to ask you to read in the text from location 2566 to location 2687. You can get

to location 2566 in one of two ways:

1. Click on the menu button on the lefthand side of the Kindle app window. Click on

“Location” at the bottom of the list that pops up and type in the first location - 2566.

You should have arrived at a heading that reads “Slope and Rate of Change.”

2. The second way to arrive at this location is to drag our scroll bar over to the appropriate

location. This can take a little finessing. When you have reached location 2566, the status bar at

the bottom of the screen will look like this:

That’s All There is to it! Hopefully these instructions will help get you started with the Kindle Reader app. You will want to get

this set up and get comfortable with using it as soon as possible, but again, you may contact me with

questions at any time throughout the course.
