The Alternative Spring Break in Ghana program places teams of college students in communities where they perform short-term projects while learning about such issues as poverty, gender issues, educational and cultural l iteracy, racism, hunger, the environment and homelessness in Ghana. These experiences are designed to heighten social awareness and promote lifelong social action. Students will also have the opportunity to visit museums, slave dungeons and other sites that have historical and cultural significance.
