Challenges in applying CBHE Accreditation

CBHE Accreditation come from a mature education system to a newly established education system where QA is not yet imbedded in daily practices.

CBHE Accreditation assumes confidence in documents that institutions enclose as evidence and therefore do not investigate or inquire about their implementation in depth.

CBHE Accreditation might employ low-level standards from what is followed in their home country, which has a reflection on the integrity of institutional accreditation.

Recommendations:

1-• Accreditation Results of National Agencies must

supersede results of CBHE Agencies within the country.

• Regulate the relationship by developing MoUs between National and CBHE Accreditation Agencies to:

3-• CBHE agencies to maintain the level of standards

practiced in home country.

• Mutual recognition of accreditation /QA outcome

• Conduct joint reviews

• National Observer during CBHE reviews

• Mutual Capacity Building
