2015-2016 Accreditation

All schools will maintain their current accreditation status for the 2015-2016 school year.

Schools must complete QPA Quality Criteria Collection by June 30, 2015.

What Should We Do Right Now?1. Familiarize all staff with State

Board’s definition of College and Career Ready, including the use of the ACTE (Academic, Cognitive, Technical, Employability) acronym.

2. Familiarize all staff with the Rose Capacities.

What Should We Do Right Now?3. Leadership begin review of the

four rubrics (Rs) with calibration (IRA) in mind.

4. Familiarize all staff with the four rubrics – have them reflect on what they already do in support of CCR, ACTE, Rose Capacities, and the four rubric areas.

What Should We Do Right Now?5. When discussing data, address its

relationship (and possible use as growth evidence) to CCR, ACTE, Rose Capacities, and the four rubric areas.

What Should We Do Right Now?7. Start using the four “R” rubrics as

part of your needs assessments in planning for 2015-2016.

8. Relate strategic/action plans and goals to the components of the four rubrics.

9. Identify existing ACTE and 5R data points for possible use as indicators of goal and growth achievement.

New Model Non-negotiables

Districts will meet all licensure, fiscal/accounting, mentoring, IDEA, and ESI statutes/regulations in order to be considered for an accreditation rating other than “not accredited.”

New Model Other Foundational Requirements

New Model Foundational Requirements

With 100% of “Other Foundational Requirements” met, district can then be considered for rating as high as “Accredited.”

Individual foundational requirements can be waived by the commissioner.

• District meets with Outside Validation Team (can be virtual) during Year One.

• District meets with OVT Chair (can be virtual) during Year Three.

• District hosts Outside Validation Team (cannot be virtual) for formal accreditation visit in Year Five.
