Important milestones in the Company’s history

1931 Moscow Expeditions and the Survey Department of Moszheldorstroy were united into one enterprise (bureau)

“Metizzheldor” of People's Commissariat for Lines of Communications by the order of People's Commissariat

for Lines of Communications.

Moscow Design and Survey Bureau “Mostransproekt” was established by the Order of People's

Commissariat for Lines of Communications on the basis of “Metizzheldor” and design bureau

“Mosproekttrans”.

1935

1951 “Mostransproekt” was reorganized into Moscow State Design and Survey Institute “Mosgiprotrans”

according to the Resolution of Council of Ministers of the USSR.

1993 “Mosgiprotrans” received status of JSC as a result of privatization.

2015 A change in the shareholders.

The new management team has determined the Company development course: design of a large facility

– a high-speed rail line "Moscow-Kazan-Ekaterinburg" on the section Moscow – Kazan (HSR 2), thus

brining changes in the Institute itself. Now the Company is characterized by openness including

informational one, by clarity in decision making and maximum efficiency in implementation of set tasks.

In recognition of high achievements in All-Union Social Competition

and completion of the Economic and Social Development Plan for 1974,

1979 and 1980, Mosgiprotrans was awarded the Challenge Red Banner

of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union,

the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the All-Union Central Soviet of

Trade Unions, the Central Committee of All-Union Leninist Young

Communist League and the Ministry of Transport Construction of the

USSR, and also the Red Banner of Leningradsky and Babushkinsky

District Committees of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and

District Councils. The Institute also was granted a memorable sign and

entered the Honours Board in the Hall of Fame of VDNH of the USSR.

The institute was listed in the Moscow Book of Honours for highly

effective and quality work.

On November 5, 1981 by the decree of the Supreme Soviet of the

USSR No 5936-X Mosgiprotrans was awarded the Order of the Red

Banner of Labour for achievements in surveying and designing railway

facilities and some executive officers and members of the staff of the

Institute received orders and medals.

Basic technical specifications of the Moscow-Kazan High-Speed Rail Line (Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod section)

Other design characteristics adopted after development of the project sections:

• KS-400 contact network;

• Double-fed rolling stock: on the line Moscow VSM - Noginsk VSM (0 ÷ 46 km) – at 3.3 kV DC; on the line Noginsk VSM -

Kazan VSM (46 ÷ 770 km) – at 2×25 kV AC ;

• Type of rolling stock: specifications and requirements for high-speed rolling stock were developed by JSC "VNIIZHT" in 2016;

• The main depot: Nizhny Novgorod; intermediate depots: Moskva-Kurskaya-Tekhnicheskaya and Kazan;

• High-speed rolling stock is used for all types of transportation performed on the line;

• Automatic and teleautomatic equipment, centralized traffic control system, electrical interlocking of points;

• The maximum static axle load of high speed trains is up to 170 kN, special freight trains – up to 226 kN;

• The section Moscow VSM - Noginsk VSM (0 ÷ 53 km), the entrances to Nizhniy Novgorod and Kazan have a ballasted track

structure, the remaining section for speed over 250 km/h has a CRTS III RUS ballastless track structure;

• Ballasted and non-ballasted continuous welded rail tracks.
