Religion, Race, and Nation in Early 19th Century Black America, In a Shade of Blue: Pragmatism and the Politics of Black America, and co-editor of “African-American Religious Thought: An Anthol- ogy" with Cornel West, Democracy in Black, and African American Religion: A Very Short Introduction. Glaude takes care to engage fellow citizens of all ages and backgrounds in dialogue about the course of the nation. Jasiri X is a six-time Pittsburgh Hip Hop Award honoree with his finger on the pulse of today's social justice issues and an international reach. He recently released Black Liberation Theology, to critical acclaim and remarkable grassroots support. He is deeply involved in national civil rights movements, and founded 1 Hood Media, which utilizes art as a means of raising awareness about social justice matters affecting traditionally marginalized and at-risk youth.
