ACO JUNIOR®

Backflow floor drain

The ACO JUNIOR® is a Type 5 anti-flooding device for grey waterapplication and conforms to BS EN 13564.Compact construction makes thisbackflow gully ideal for new build orrefurbishment projects.

The award winning design incorporatesbackflow protection featuring twogravity closure devices one of which isan emergency seal which can beoperated manually.

Versatile design

The ACO JUNIOR® installs into solidfloor construction and connects to110mm Ø drain pipe. An optional50mm Ø back inlet allows connectionfrom an appliance, shower or basin.

Reliable function

When backflow occurs, reversing thedirection of flow, water reaches theprimary flap and forces it shut. Thesecondary flap provides additionalsafety.

The manually operated emergency sealincorporated into the second flapprovides the option to shut off the pipesystem for additional security or wherelong periods of non-use may result inevaporation of the foul air trap allowingthe drain to vent foul odours.

ACO QUATRIX®

Backflow valve with access chamber

The ACO QUATRIX® backflow valve is an in-line Type 3 automated anti-flooding device conforming to BS EN 13564 suitable for black waterconnections (faecal wastewater)installed with its own access chamber.

Versatile design

The ACO QUATRIX®, which installs intosolid floor construction with connectionto 110mm and 160mm Ø drain pipe, features a height adjustable accesschamber with optional DPM bondingflange. Access is gained through areversible cover designed for tiled orcementitious floor finishes which rotatesfor ease of alignment with floor tilingand is fully sealed. The IP67 ratedmotor/valve body ideal for internal orexternal applications.

Reliable function

Under normal conditions the backflowflaps are open allowing waste water toflow to the drain. When backflowoccurs, reversing the direction of flow, water will reach a certain level withinthe pipe activating a pressure sensorwhich is monitored at the control box.

The motorised flap activates and shutsunder pressure sounding an audible alarmaccompanied by a flashing light. Whenbackflow abates the process is reversed. In the event of a power cut, the controlbox has a 24 hour power back-up.

Quatrix backflow devices have a 2-positionsecondary flap for manual operation.

1. Locked open (normal)

2. Locked shut (for emergency use orlong periods of non-use)
