This programme is activity led and therefore highly participative. The concept that rhythm is everywhere and in everything we do will be introduced as the theme for the day. Participants will interact through a series of short ‘games’, simulations, discussions, structured challenges and break out sessions both under cover or in the outdoors. Focus is on self discovery; first of unproductive behaviour then to more effective ways of being group members and leaders.

RollercoasterIn Door or Out Door
The Challenge is to build a rollercoaster track, along which a football must travel by gravity alone. Teams are given a variety of raw materials including bamboo canes and machine rolled newspaper. This activity can work with groups of any size. Groups are broken up into teams but soon learn to collaborate. Teams then often divide into sub groups to create sections of the track, Teams learn to work together to create a greater and longer track. Extra points are awarded for 'design flourishes'; the ultimate feat is to build a successful loop the loop. The nature of the teamwork and opportunities for collaboration make this an ideal facilitated challenge.
Back to Back Drawing Indoor
Divide group into pairs and have each pair sit on the floor back to back. Give one person in each pair a picture or a shape and give the other person a pencil a pad or paper. The person holding the shape/picture is to give verbal instructions. After they have finished ask each pair to compare their original shape with the actual drawing. This is to test the communication sills.
Labeling
This is a fun exercise for a medium or large group. Write on name tags many different personality types and pin on each persons back. Don’t show each person which tag is on their back they will be able to see everyone elses tag but not their own. Ask each person to figure out which personality type is on his or her back by asking stereo type questions of other people, like, am I a man? Am I an athelete..etc. Group members can only answer yes or no. Participants are encouraged to ask questions to as many different people as possible.
