• To revive urban spaces with the means of arts• Over the years the festival has turned into a successful
international platform for communication through arts • People gather at various places across Sofia and take part in
art workshops and discussions on different topics• The initial venue was an unused water tower, which has now
become a symbol of the city’s alternative possibilities.• To populate abandoned or underused buildings with art and
artist’s works and open them to the public.

• The festival presents contemporary tendencies in the experimental visual arts and performances of guest artists from all over the world
• The aim of the event is to join the efforts of creative people, institutions and citizens to overcome together the social problems
• The events are focused on experimental music, visual and practical arts, theater, video and sound installations

• The event is being organized by a non-governmental organization, working in the fields of art and culture, towards establishing collaborative connections with other international artists organizations and artists themselves.
• Social partners – Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, Embassies of USA, Lithuania, Austria, Israel, Norway, Servantes Institute – Sofia, Polish cultural centre, Geothe Institute, etc.

the events “Sofia – European capital of culture 2019”
• An initiative of Sofia Municipality
• To turn one of the most popular streets in downtown Sofia into pedestrian for three consecutive Sundays in August.

• Sofia “Breathes” hosts art workshops, sport events, games and various performances to entertain Sofia residents and visitors.
• To provoke a civic discussion for green Sofia with less automobiles.
• To reduce air pollution from traffic and favor commuting by foot.

• The biggest urban culture festival on the Balkans
• International festival presenting the contemporary urban culture and arts
• The initiative starts in 2003 in Sofia but it expands fast covering most of the major cities in Bulgaria
• In 2011 was the 12th edition of the event
• JAM ON IT is a platform which supports, develops and promotes the urban dances and culture
• A place where thousands of people from Bulgaria and abroad meet to dance, listen to music, share ideas and knowledge
• JAM ON IT tolerates the friendship, cultural traditions and values, knowledge and diversity
