Community partners and a of Toledo. Students gain an inside look at professional entry-level employment opportunities at local job sites and attend classes to further their education on employability. There is a $500 fee associated with the program, scholarship money is available. Participants must be a junior or senior in high school. The Ability Center’s Life Skills Program assists people with disabilities to develop skills for independent living and competitive employment. Our program achieves this by providing interactive classes and programming for individuals ages 13-26 seeking post-secondary education or competitive employment. Resources also include peer support, recreational activities, and parent education. Life Skills also provides guidance to students, schools, parents, and community agencies and promotes opportunities to maximize independence and self-sufficiency in the community.
