Established in 2013 ACTA promotes effective and cost-effective health care in Australia through clinical trials that generate evidence to support decision making by health practitioners policy-makers and consumers

The underlying theme of the ACTA International Clinical Trials Conference 2019 is Better health through best evidence and will provide a platform to bring together national and international stakeholders to discuss global advances in the development of self-improving healthcare systems The program will address embedding clinical trials in clinical care novel trial designs and conduct maximising the value of clinical registries and improving public awareness and consumer involvement in clinical research

We welcome all those involved in or interested in clinical trials research to attend including clinicians policy-makers researchers health care workers health economists regulators and industry Through plenary sessions panel discussions oral presentations poster presentations and workshops there will be a range of forums for you to engage in vibrant discussions about enhancing clinical trial research in Australia and globally

There will also be an active social program providing opportunities to foster interactions between delegates policymakers and sponsors and build new relationships

established in 2013 the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance (ACTA) is Australiarsquos peak body supporting clinical trials networks and coordinating centres and clinical quality registries

ACTArsquos Better health through best evidence vision informs its Australian Government Department of Health-mandated Medical Research Future Fund-supported work to grow strengthen and support clinician researchersrsquo work that generates evidence to inform decision-making by health practitioners policymakers and consumers

The ACTA community includes more than 50 clinical trials networks clinical trial coordinating centres and clinical quality registries Many of these include hundreds of senior doctors nurses allied health professionals and career researchers ndash more than 10000 investigators across a broad range of disease groups and clinical disciplines They are among Australiarsquos most productive and high impact researchers as evidenced in ACTArsquos 2017 report Economic evaluation of investigator-initiated clinical trials conducted by networks that demonstrated a return of $580 for every $1 invested

ACTA was formed by professionals who have played key roles in successful clinical trials networks clinical trial coordinating centres and clinical quality registries in Australia

BooKing AnD pAYmentAll prices are quoted in Australian dollars plus GST of 10 (as of the date of the publication) The Conference reserves the right to vary the quoted prices in line with any changes in the rate of the GST

On receipt of a signed booking form a tax invoice for the required 50 deposit will be sent Sponsors and exhibitors not resident in Australia but registered for a tax equivalent to GST (Goods amp Services Tax) in their own country are not required to pay GST on their booking

Confirmation of sponsorship packages and exhibition space will only be made upon receipt of this deposit The balance will be invoiced on 1 May 2019 Applications for packages with a total value of under AU$5000 and after this date will be invoiced in full

Payment terms ndash net 20 days

All payments due must be received by the Conference Managers prior to the Conference No sponsor exhibitor will be allowed to set up their exhibition booth at the Conference until full payment has been received

All payments should be made in Australian dollars by bank transfer or credit card (please note a fee of 28 will apply for all credit card payments)

Public and Product Liability insurance to A$10 million must be taken out by each exhibitor at their own expense

i trade displays must only be directed at health care professionals

ii product information for all products being promoted must be available from the display booth

iv competitions intended to encourage participants to attend trade displays must be consistent with the requirements of the MTAA and MA Codes

every attempt will be made to meet your preferred exhibition location However The Organising Committee reserves the right to re-assign locations if necessary following discussion with the affected parties

cAnceLLAtion poLicY

If notification of cancellation of sponsorship is received in writing

bull prior to 20 December 2018 your deposit will be refunded less 20 administration fee

bull between 20 December 2018 and 30 April 2019 you are liable for 50 of the package selected

bull from 1 May 2019 you are liable for 100 of the package selected

The Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel the Conference not later than 28 June 2019 in case of circumstances beyond its control In such a case all monies paid to date will be refunded in full less any expenses incurred The liability of the organisers will be limited to that amount
