CHAPTER IINTRODUCTION1.1 Introduction

Behaviour is the action and reaction of the person or animal in the response of internal and external stimuli. All pertains to a person's action as they constitute a means of evaluation by other. Behaviour is the most general:The children were on their best behaviour. Conduct applies to actions comsidered from the stand point of morality and ethics. The line among modifications in accepted behaviour of the children and adolesents mamny times doesn't differ from the accepted, even the one which leads them to an educational Institution. Many children and adolesents sent to an educational institutions shows us the essence of their vulnerability and the reasons for elimination of the individuals under the paradigm of help. Social belonging, family relationships and relationships in school proved to be of principal importance.Occasionally a student will behave in the classroom in a way that disrupts the class and makes teaching very difficult. The purpose is to describe other resources on campus that can help you deal with these difficult situations, to give you information which will increase your chances for successfully managing these situations, to give you information which will increase your likelihood of success if you choose to use the student disciplinary process, and to make you aware of resources which could help students exhibiting distressed behaviors.

1.2 NEED OF THE STUDYWhen RESEARCHER was a kid, going to school was always stressful. It seemed as though the the researcher goes to school the various classrom problem distrubs the attention, some time the topic is not so interested which lead to dis interest in the topic and leads to poor concentarion. The class mates inetractivity also influenced to change the behaviour of students. So, when Researcher was doing the internship and had to complete a part of it called ACTION RESEARCH, Researcher grabbed this opportunity and had a chance to clear researcher curiosity about this problem. Was this problem of school stress being my personal problem or a common one? And to clear my doubt, I decided my topic of action research as To study the behaviour problem of secondary school student'.

1.3 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEMTo study the behaviour problem of secondary school student.

1.4 OBJECTIVES To study the reasons for misbehaviour of students in class room. To find out the difference in classroom behaviour of girls and boy student

1.5 SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF STUDYThe study has vast scope. This study is applicable to secondary sections of the school. And for English medium school. This questionnaire is limited only up to VIII std.The study is done only in Sailee International school , borivali(w). It was restricted to VIII standard of same school.

1.6 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDYThis study will be a significant endeavor in helping a student to design for the proper managing and give more concentration in class. It will motivate or boost a students knowledge and will help him see his ability to learn and assimilate information. To a teacher, this research can prove as a guide for an enhancement of performance of her / his students. It will also be beneficial for her / his to bring back the interest of the child. It will help the teacher to be aware of the limitation of various study skills according to the age level of the students. This study also puts light on the psychology of the child related to behaviour in class and will help the teacher in the classroom for future counseling of the child, if required. Moreover, this research will provide recommendations to the management. Students behaviour can be improved by proper managing committee. Periodically review the rules and procedure of the classroom until the students can successfully adhere to them. The managements should regularly check and improve the working system of class and introduce e-learning or other facilities which increases the student learning.

CHAPTER IIRESEARCH DESIGN2.1 IntroductionResearch Design may define as the systematic and objective analysis and recording of controlled observation that may lead o the development of generalization, principles or theories resulting in prediction and possibly ultimate control of eventa. It is considered to be more formal, systematic and imtensive process of carrying on a scientific method of analysis. It is more systematic activity that is directed toward discovery and the development of an organized body of knowledge. The study has the following variables.1) Multiple Intelligences of student.2) Parent's educational background.

2.2 Method used for the StudyResearch Design has been classified into three types, they are Historical Research, Descriptive Research and Experimental Research.# Historical Research describes what was the process involves investigating, recording, analyzing and interpreting the events of the past for the purpose of discovering generalization that are helpful in understanding the past and the present and to a limited extent, in anticipating the future.# Descriptive Research describes what is, describing recording, analyzing and interpreting conditions that exist. It involves some type of comparison or contrast and attempt to discover relationship between existing non manipulated variables. Descriptive Research can be divided into two board categories- Qualitatibe Analysis nd Quantity Analysis#Experimental Research describes what will be when certain variables are carefully controlled or manipulated. The focus is on variables relationships. Delibrate manipulation is always a part of the experimental method. For the Present Study Descriptive Research also known as non- experimental or correlation research was used. It deals with relationship between variables, the testing of the hypothesis, and the development of generalization, principles or theories that have universal validity. It is concerned with functional relationship.Descriptive Research can be divided into two board categories Quantitative and Qualitative research. Quantitative research consist of those studies in which the data concerned can be analyzed in term of numbers. Qualitative research is used to describe events, persons and so forth scientifically without the use of numerical data.

2.3 SampleSample is a subset containing the characteristics of a larger population. Samples are used in statistical testing when the population sizes are too large for the test to include all possible members or observation. A sample should represent the whole population and not reflect bias towards a specific attribute. In the present study, the sample consists of 49 students of VIII standard of Sailee International School, where girls are 22 and boys are 27 .

2.4 Data collection ToolAtoolis anyphysicalitem that can be used to achieve agoal, especially if the item is not consumed in the process. Informally the word is also used to describe a procedure or process with a specific purpose. The researcher has made the tool self prepared. The tool consists of 22 questions out of which 6 are positive and 16 are negative.

2.5 Procedure of Data Analysis The following procedure was used to collect data. The researcher identified the school gor the survey. The principal and supervisor of the school were approched and permission was taken to use 49 students as a sample for the study. The tool- students multiple intelligence inventory was given to the students to be filled up. Students were oriented with instruction provided by the researcher on how the inventory was to be filled and cleared their doubts if any. Personal details such as Name, Gender, standard, age was filled by the students. For each section, the student placed as 'I' next to each statementthat the student felt was accurately describing him/her. Students were enthusiastic about this activity. The data was finally tabulated using Microsoft Xcell.2.6 Data AnalysisData analysis is done to conduct statistical tests on the data and to drive conclusion from it. Finally interpretation are made and the initial hypothesis is verified. In this stage of descriptive research on computer frequencies mean, median, mode and other statistical calculations. Although this research is highly accurate, it doesnot gather the causes behind the situation. For the present study, mean, median, mode were calculated for descriptive analysis and t-test was conducted for inferential analysis. The total number of respondents is 49 which is statistically significant sample to make some inferences.

CHAPTER 3ANALYSIS OF DATA3.1 IntroductionData Analysis is a process in which raw data is ordered and organized so that useful information can be extracted from it. The process of organizing and thinking about data ia key to understanding what the data does and doesnot contain. The analysis and interpretation of data represent the application of deductive and inductive logic to the research process. The data is often classified by division into subgroup and then analyzed and synthesized in such a way that hypotheses may be verified or rejected. The final result may be a new principal or generalization.3.2 Descriptive AnalysisDescriptive statistical analysis limits generalization to the particular group of individuals obsreved. No conclusion are extended beyond this group, any similarity to those outside the group cannot be assumed. The data describe one group and that group only. Much simple action research involves descriptive analysis and provides valuable information about the nature of a particular group of individual.MeanThe mean of a distribution is commonly understood as the arithmetic average. It is the most usedful of all the statistical measures.MedianThe median is a point in an array, above and below which one - half of the score fall.ModeIt is the value that appears most often in a set of data. The mode of a discrete probability distribution is the value x at which its probabilty mass function takes its maximum value.Graph A graph is a representation of a set of objects where some pairs of objects are connected by links. It is depicted in diagrammatic form as a set of dots for the vertices, joined by lines or curves for the edges.Note: for the present work researcher has utilized Microsoft Xcell for data Analysis.Table No. 3.1(Tables are thier in excell sheet no.3 overall)Interpretation: So by observing above table we can say the average score of the students where students behaviour in the class room is 63.14286 which means that 49 students are dealing with the problem of classroom behaviour.Graph 3.1( Graph is inserted in xcell sheet no.3)Table No. 3.2( Tables are inserted in xcell sheet no. 4 girls)Interpretation: So by observing above table we can say thay average score of girla with behavioural problem in classroom is 66.04545 is which means 22 girls are dealing with the problem of class room behaviour.

Table No. 3.3( tables are inserted in xcell sheet no.5 boys)Interpretation: So by observing above table we can say the average score of boys having behavioural problem in class room is 60.77778 is which means 27 boys are dealing with the problem of class room behaviour.Graph 3.2 (Graph is inserted in xcell sheet no.5)Percentile mean for over all students = Mean - lowest possible score / upper possible score - lowest possible score= 63- 22/ 88- 22=41/66= 0.6212.Percentile Mean for Girls = Mean - lowest possible score/ upper possible sore- lowest possible score.= 66- 22 / 88- 22= 44/66=0.666Percentile Mean for Boys = Mean - lowest possible score/ upper possible score- lowest possible score.= 60- 22/88- 22= 38 / 66= 0.5757.

ConclusionConclusion means the result that are found in the study conducted. After the analysis is completed the researcher derives the conclusion of the survey. Conclusion of the present study are as follows. Which is based on the present calculation and graph which can be seen in the graph also.# The mean of the girls score of 8th standard student is the highest while the mean of the boys score of 8th standard student ia the least.# The overall mean of the standard 8th students in class room behavioural problem is 63.1428.# It is seen the girls are more likely to be distrubed in class by the behavioural problem of the varies students.

CHAPTER IVRESEARCH FINDING

4.1 Major FindingsClassroom management is a term used by teachers ro describe the procesa of ensurinh that classroom lessons run smoothly despite disruprive behaviour. In order to limit or deal effectively with there behaviour, it is important to understand the facrors that cause or facilitate them.1) To study the reason for misbehaviour if the students in class roomInterpretation: When the Researcher had conducted the research it is on the view that students misbehavior distrubs the class management. While comducting the research the researcher came to a conclusion that it not only the students are to be blamed for the distrubance in the class but also the various facilities provided in the class. Some students listens the lecture carefully but only oral teching doesnot entertain students which leads to dis interest in the subject. Hence teachers also should take care about various teaching techinque which make the lecture more interesting.2) To find out the difference in class room behaviour of girls and boys students.Interpretation: In the above calculation and graph it is seen that the girls are more distrubed by the behavioural problem than boys. In the given mean the mean of the girls is more thab that of boys.4.2 Significance of the Study This study will be a significant endeavor in helping a student to design for the proper managing and give more concentration in class.

4.3 Suggestion for Further StudiesThe research had been done in the class room behaviour of the students but in this research the reearch is limited upto class 8th standard. The suggestion for Further studies are as follows: Since in the recent research the research is limited upto 8th standar student of Sailee International school borivali of english median. The further research of the same topic shoud be done till higher secondary students By taking the same topic the further researcher can light upon the difference between the boarda such as ICSE board students and SSC boards students. The researcher can further take the topic of "Class room teaching technique used by techers" from the students which give a view that which type of teching technique can help to motivate students and make the topic or subject interesting.
