1. Configuring Add-ons for a Single-Site License

In case of an Add-on for a Single Site, the Add-on is ready-to-use immediately and no extra configura-tion is required.

To confirm the successful availability of the Add-ons in your license, click on

F12: Configure > TDL Configuration

The updated screen will include all Add-ons which have been successfully attached to your license as shown:

Also, confirm the successful updation of Add-on help.

To do this, follow the steps below:

On Gateway of Tally screen,

Select ALT+H: Help

The Help Options screen will be displayed.

Select Add-on Help under Search In

Under Select Add-on, select the Add-on for which you wish to download the detailed usage doc-ument

This will open up a document with detailed instructions of how to use the Add-on.

If the TDL configuration screen/ Help screen does not display the Add-ons, please Update the Licenseonce. For this, Click on F12: Configure > Licensing > Update License

Re-check in the TDL Configuration screen/ Help screen as shown above. In case the Add-ons are still not updated in the license, contact Tally Shop Support.

2. Configuring Add-ons for a Multi-Site LicenseIn case of a multi-site license, the Administrator can decide on which site, a particular Add-on should be enabled. Hence, in a multi-site scenario, it is important to configure the Add-ons to specific sites.

Creating a TDL configuration pack

Tally.ERP 9 provides a Default TDL Config which you can alter and configure based on your need. Hence, you can follow this method to create a customized configuration pack. Otherwise, you can create a New TDL Config pack. Let us see the steps required in both scenarios.

You can login to the Control Centre by pressing Control + K from the Gateway of Tally. In the Control Centre, the TDL management option enables you to create a TDL configuration pack for your Add-ons.

To complete the TDL configuration, follow the steps shown: In the Control Centre screen

The list of TDL's or Add-ons is displayed on your screen as shown:

Altering the Default TDL Config

Select F8: TDL Config List

Under Name of Configuration, select Default TDL Config.

You come to the TDL Configuration Management screen. By default it is in Alter mode.

Enter Default TDL Config under Name of Configuration.

Select Yes for Allow local TDLs

In the section, Specify Account TDLs for Loading, select the Add-ons you wish to include in this configuration.

The completed screen is as shown:

Select Yes to Accept.

With this, the specified Add-ons are added to the Default TDL configuration pack.

Creating a New TDL Configuration pack

Select F9: New TDL Config

You come to the TDL Configuration Management Screen. In this case, you are in the Create mode by default.

Enter a personalized name for the New TDL configuration pack under Name of Configuration. In our example, Add-on Config 1 has been entered.

Select Yes for Allow local TDLs

In the section, Specify Account TDLs for Loading, select the Add-ons you wish to include in this configuration.

The completed screen is as shown:

Select Yes to Accept.

With this, the specified Add-ons are added to the New TDL configuration pack.

Link the TDL Configuration Pack to a specific site in a multi-site scenario

Once the TDL configuration packs have been created, you have to link them to specific sites. To do this, follow the steps below:

In the Control Centre screen

Select License Management

You are taken to the Licensing & Configuration screen. Here all the details of the different sites under the same account are displayed as shown:

Select F6: Show Config

Select the Site for which you need to Add the TDL Configuration pack

If you wish to add the default TDL config pack:

Under TDL Config, select Default TDL Config

Select Yes to Accept.

If you wish to add the New TDL Configuration pack:

Under TDL Config, select Add-on Config 1

Select Yes to Accept.

The completed screen is as shown:

Once this is done, the TDL Configuration packs are attached to the specified sites.

Update the License at that site

After configuration, you need to update the license at that particular site to make them available.

For this, Click on F12: Configure > Licensing > Update License

To confirm the successful availability of the Add-ons at the site, click on

F12: Configure > TDL Configuration

The updated screen will include all Add-ons which have been successfully attached to the site.

Also, confirm the successful updation of Add-on help.
