RENTAL DETAILS

- The daily rental price for the speed

boat is 250 EUR + fuel.

- The base harbor is Bol. There is an

extra charge of 100 euros if the speed

boat is to be delivered to another

harbor (Puĉišća, Milna, Sumartin). As

well, if the speed boat is brought back

to another harbor (Puĉišća, Milna,

Sumartin) there is an extra charge of

100 euros (final cleaning included).

- The security deposit for the sum of

500 euros is required. The speed

boats are covered by insurance, but

for minor damages (scratches, lost

seats, anchor, etc.) up to 1000 euros

the renter is obliged to refund the cost

to the owner

Rent a boat

When taking over the spreed boat the

renter signs the contract leaving one

valid identifying document to the owner

and pays the total rental amount. The

person who operates the boat must have a

permit (category B or C) valid in his/her

country of origin and should have some

experience. The owner gives the renter

information about the boat, positions on

the island and beyond, the best places to

anchor. The owner reserves the right not

to rent the boat if the renter does not

meet the experience requirements. In that

case a skipper, who also carries out

training is appointed at a cost of 100

euros. The renter is required to carry his/

her cell phone and to notify the owner

via sms message on his/her position.

Skis and other speed boat equipment is

not allowed unless the vessel is operated

by a skipper appointed by the owner. The

speed boat can accommodate a maximum

of 5 to 6 persons. A speed boat uses

approximately 20 l of fuel per hour (for

approximately 25 miles).

Blaca Hermitage

Blaca Hermitage is between Bol and Milna, on the south side of Brac Island, and is one of the most fascinating excursion destinations on the island. The Hermitage was once a famous Glagolitic monastery and observatory, built at the foot of tall, steep cliffs. In 1551, two Glagolitic friars from Poljice made themselves a dwelling in a cave known as Ljubitovica, and from this humble beginning, a monastery was founded. The building contains many items of historical value, including books, a small printing press and the observatory with its telescopes. The monastery library has 11,000 volumes, many of them printed before 1800. The archives reveal that generations of monks carefully recorded all the details of their economic and daily agricultural business, the dates of blossoms, fruit and harvests in the Blaca fields, and the rhythms of the weather. The contents of Blaca Hermitage have been preserved and are today organised in a museum exhibition.

Vidova Gora Vidova Gora is the highest point of the Adriatic archipelago (780 m). It derived its name from the ruins of the chapel of St. Vid (Vitus), a hundred metres from the peak. From Vidova Gora there is a wonderful view of Zlatni Rat Beach and many coves, and across the sea to Hvar Island, Pelješac Peninsula, Korčula, Vis and Biševo, right out to the little island of Jabuka. On a particularly clear day, you can glimpse Monte Gargano on the Apennine Peninsula. Vidova Gora has footpaths and bike trails and is a well-known destination in the health and hunting tourist industries. At the foot of Vidova Gora there is Zlatni Rat (Golden Tongue) considered by many the most beautiful beach on the Adriatic. The beach is a natural phenomenon and according to the movement of the wind and waves, its tip moves to the left or right.
