Deva Work: Discovering your True Self **Deva, in Sanskrit is the one that radiates light. It is a refined

inner work that goes beyond the thinking mind and lets

our consciousness expand into a healthy “altered state”.

In this state, participants will be able to dissolve

unconscious patterns (Karma), that can be the origin of

emotional repetitive mechanisms and suffering, as well as

psycho-somatic disorders.

Please note these lessons are only one-to-one. To better integrate

the results into daily life, it is recommended a commitment of no

less than two sessions (best four), close to each other. A telephone

conversation before the first session and a final counsel, at the end of

the sessions, are required.

The Art of Vegetable Gardening *Planting and tending a vegetable patch is simple, healthy

and fun. At Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, our ortolano, or

market gardener, will help you to discover the secrets of the

soil, how best to sow seed and how and when to water, the

lore of the seasons.

Osteria La Canonica Cooking School

Our classes are kept deliberately small in order to guarantee personal

attention and hands-on involvement. The atmosphere is interactive

and informal, and at the end of the two-hour class you will taste

what you and the chef have just made together. At the end of each

session you will receive the recipes of the meal you prepared.

La Pasta Fresca Experience *Our Chef will reveal the secrets of “pasta fresca”; you will

learn how to make different kinds of the most authentic

Italian pasta and the most popular and delicious sauces as

world famous and as tasteful as “sugo di pomodoro”.

Pizza Experience *With this lesson, you will learn the secret of making a

delicious traditional pizza from scratch. You will start

by learning how to prepare the dough and end by

exploring a selection of toppings. Each pizza will be

cooked in La Canonica’s brick oven.

Tuscan Meal Experience *With this lesson, you will learn not only how to prepare

a three-course meal, but also pick up tips on how to

play the perfect host by getting everything ready a

day in advance. Once you know what can be prepared

beforehand and the best way to store it, it is easy to

make a delectable Tuscan meal.

Forgotten Flavours *How do we get back to that simpler, more authentic

world of kitchen craft? ‘Forgotten Flavors’ aims to do

just that. Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco’s commitment

to the preservation of rural Tuscan’s architectural

heritage and landscape has been reflected in the kitchen.

Vegetarian Tuscany *Start the lesson at our on-site organic garden to discover

the delicacies of our fertile earth and pick the freshest

seasonal produces. Then bring these authentic flavours

into the kitchen and learn how to prepare delicious

vegetarian Tuscan dishes with the help of our Chef.


The Castiglion del Bosco Wine Experience *Exploring the process “From Grape To Wine” is a special

opportunity to follow every step of the wine-making art.

Participants will explore the whole process visiting the

vineyards, the cellar and the aging room, completing

the tour with a tasting of six of our wines accompanied

by professional guidance through every step of the tour,

with a mouth-watering surprise at the end.

This unforgettable experience can be enriched with

a “Barrel Tasting” which will give guests the unique

chance to taste two vintages of not yet released Brunello

directly from our French oak barrels.

The Vertical Tasting *This extraordinary vertical tasting of seven of our

remarkable Brunello di Montalcino is a must for wine

lovers visiting Tuscany and seeking an unforgettable

and overlooks the beautifully lit Barricaia. While

immersed in captivating surroundings, the guests

will enjoy four of the winery’s finest vintages of our

Brunello di Montalcino, two vintages from the 90

best years of our Riserva di Brunello di Montalcino

and the first vintage of our renowned single vineyard

Cheese and Wine Pairing *Wine and cheese are two of life’s great pleasures,

and finding the perfect match can be a delicious

endeavour. They have in common their origin from

natural elements subjected to a ripening, refinement

and ageing, depending on the typology. Learning

how to pair different types of Italian cheeses with

Castiglion del Bosco wines, including the limited

productions of Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

Millecento and Vin Santo sweet wine San Michele, is

an educative sensory experience.

Coravin Experience * Discover how Brunello di Montalcino develops with

age through this guided tasting of six Castiglion del

Bosco aged vintages, from early 1990s down to the end

of 1960s, thanks to Coravin’s high technology system. A

Athletic Boot Camp and Circuit Training in the Woods *

different levels and types targeted for each specific

person and their age.

Tennis **We have two tennis courts available at Rosewood

Castiglion del Bosco. You can choose to borrow tennis

Archery **For archery enthusiasts or anyone interested in

discovering this prominent sport, an archery field and

Discovering Qi Gong **This experience involves the Taoist Water Method Qi

Gong, characterized by small movements awakening

healthy physiological mechanisms. The lesson will help

of Tai Chi.
