Rationale:

The Public Employment Offices (PESOs) in the National Capital Region have always been the partners of DOLE specifically in the delivery of employment facilitation and services. They have facilitated placements and effectively implemented the various programs/services of the Department in their respective areas. This year, DOLE-NCR will once again give recognition to deserving NCR Public Employment Service Office (PESO) that showed exemplary delivery of basic employment service in their respective jurisdictions based on 2010 accomplishment. Among the Regional categories are the following:

I. Best Regional PESOGrand Prize = P20,000

SPESThese recognitions will not only boost the morals of our PESOs but would give them inspiration to prove their worth as the years go by. All NCR PESOs as well as their Local Government Units will be given Certificate of Appreciation. Moreover, the PESOs will all be given incentive in the form of monetary benefits for their unwavering support to our DOLE programs. Likewise, we would also give credit to our Field Offices based on their performances.

Moreover, as the year comes to a close, it is fitting to review and assess both the DOLE-NCR and PESOs performance to identify gaps that would improve the program implementation and in order to formulate responsive plans for 2012. It is in this light that the conduct of DOLE-NCR and PAMM 2011 Year- End Assessment/Planning Workshop/Awarding be put forward. Hence, this proposal. Objectives:

1. To review and assess 2011 PESOs performance vis--vis the 2012 targets;2. To present the 2012 thrusts of DOLE in general and harmonize it with the

regional thrusts;3. To come up with 2012 Action Plan for the PESOs; and,4. To strengthen linkages and partnership between the DOLE- NCR and PESOs.
