ARPA

USSR launches sputnik, the first

artificial satellite for earth. Then, the Us forms the Advanced Researcher Projects

Agency (ARPA)

•ARPA is an agency of United States Department of Defense. ARPA underwrote development for the prosecutore of the internet, known as ARPANET.

1965

PACKET-SWITCHING

TECHNOLOGY

The two computers at MIT

Lincoln Lab can communicate

with each other by using packet-

switching technology.

•Packet-switching refers to a protocols in which the messages were divided into packets before they are sent.each packets were transmitted individually and can even follow different routes to its destination.

BNN

BNN unveils the final version of the Interface

Message Processor (IMP) specifications.

•BNN design and manufactures high performance computers and wide-area network.

The first message is "LO" means

"LOGIN".

•The first message is "LO" which was an attempt by student Charles Kline to "LOGIN"

FACEBOOK and MOZILLA FIREFOX
