AIRC conducted its first lap of user pre-test manuals in the three Mekong countries: Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. They first visited the CNM Li-brary (Cambodia) managed by Ms. Molyden Vann, CNM Librarian; second was the NIMPE Library (Vietnam) managed by Ms. Luong Thi Phuong Mai, NIMPE Librar-ian; and lastly the BVBD and DDC Library in MoPH Thailand where the li-brarians were Mr. Thachapong Kanchanangkul and Ms. Kanokwan Pothisai. The participants eagerly listened and were ask to perform actual tasks for them to better understand how the system works. In the short time spent in the three libraries, the librarians actively responded to the pre-testing and even agreed to share materials to the ACTMalaria Information Resource Center (AIRC). AIRC hopes to receive more materials this year for its Online Databases and to have its system updated and upgraded for better ac-cess and retrieval. This pre-testing and on-site visit was conducted to de-termine the capacities of existing libraries in member countries for the establishment of partner satellite databases in the local libraries. jmy
