Wednesday 11 th March 2020 Dear Parents/Guardians, What a busy half term so far. Such a shame about the dreadful weather we have been having. Hopefully Spring is just around the corner. Year 5/6 and Year 3/ 4 Residential: Children and staff are all raring to go to Whitemoor Lakes on Monday 23 rd March – 25 th March for the Year 5/6 trip and Frank Chapmond centre on 31 st March – 2 nd April for Year 3/ 4. Just a polite reminder to ensure that your child has the correct equipment for this residential. If your child requires medication, please ensure that they bring them in a clearly labelled bag with instructions for use. Let’s hope the weather is kind to us. Covid-19 Virus We are currently taking advice from the DFE in terms of updates about the virus and will keep you all updated as soon as we hear any further information in additional letters and website/social media updates. We have spoken to all the children about correct handwashing procedures and have purchased more hand sanitiser. This is to be situated in all Acton CE Primary Academy Parents' Newsletter 7

Dear Parents/Guardians,

What a busy half term so far. Such a shame about the dreadful weather we have been having. Hopefully Spring is just around the corner. Covid-19 VirusWe are currently taking advice from the DFE in terms of updates about the virus and will keep you all updated as soon as we hear any further information in additional letters and website/social media updates. This is in addition to the hand sanitiser in the hall. Please can we ask that if you are entering or exiting the school building, that you use the hand sanitiser provided.

Our next parent school lunch will be for reception parents on 2nd April at 11.45amPlease book your meal with Mrs Curry.

World Down Syndrome Day:

Building on the huge success of last year, From the 16th March we are pleased to be offering for sale exclusive CDSSG Gingerbread Socks! These will be available for the children to purchase and enjoy for 50p! Every penny raised will be used to continue funding the work of the Cheshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group, in aid of World Syndrome Day. We would also like all our children to come in brightly coloured socks on Friday 20th in support of this worthy cause.

School website and Social media

We hope you like our new website and find it beneficial. Staff will be using the website as a platform for their communication. Any communication added, will be sent to our facebook and twitter account. We hope that you find this method of communication easier and clearer to use.

Mothering Sunday and Easter Service: Our Mothering Sunday service will take place on Tuesday 17th March, 2pm at St. Mary’s Church. Our Easter Service will take place on Monday 30th March,

10.30am at St. Mary’s Church. Everyone is welcome to attend to join our worship.

Flowers and plants

We are in the process of improving our outdoor area. You may have noticed that the amphitheatre has been taken down with thanks to FOAS. If have any plants or flowers you could donate to spruce up the school, please let Mrs McKinlay know. Any donations will be gratefully received.

ACE Easter Holiday club

We are pleased to announce that the ACE club will be running an Easter holiday club on the 14th April- 16th April, 9-4pm. (additional wrap around care can be provided on request) There will be lots of exciting activities for your child to enjoy such as science, art, den building, baking and much more. All further information is our website.
