God killedGod killed Ananias and Sapphira for conspiring conspiring to lie to lie about their gift to the church.

They said they gave the full amountfull amount of the sale,But they held backheld back a portion for themselves.

Psalms 111 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His Commandments: His praise endureth forever.

Proverbs 1 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise Wisdom and instruction.

To fear God's PowerGod's Power to judge and to punish sin can be the beginning of a relationshiprelationship with Him.

But that relationship can growcan grow, and when it is maturemature, we will love the Lordlove the Lord --

With allall our heart, mind, soul, and strength.

12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accordall with one accord in Solomon's porch. Solomon's porch was where Peter and John healedhealed the lame man.It became a regular meeting placemeeting place for the church.

Not their onlyonly meeting place; they went from house to househouse to house breaking bread, having

fellowship, worshipping, talking about JesusJesus.

13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. 14 And believersbelievers were the more addedadded to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

No more hypocrites.No more hypocrites.After Ananias and Sapphira dieddied like they did,

Other hypocrites were afraidwere afraid to join them.

True believersTrue believers kept on getting saved and joining the churchthe church.

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. 16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

The Power of GodPower of God was manifested through the Apostles -- in healinghealing, savingsaving, casting out casting out devilsdevils, , as well as in the deathdeath of Ananias and

Sapphira.It was all done in the Name of JesusName of Jesus,

The SonThe Son of the Living God,The One sent as MessiahMessiah to the Jews.

17-18 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sad-ducees,) and were filled with indignation, and laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

O my goodness! I guess it's over.The rulers alreadyalready threatened them and told them

to quitquit preaching and healing in the Name of Jesus.

They kept it upkept it up and now they are in in prisonprison.

Thinks he won.

19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, 20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the Words of this life.

Delivered from prison; but notnot to get away.

The angel told them to go right back to wherewhere they

were arrested, and

DoDo what they got arrested for.

We have a good examplegood example to follow.We must notmust not be timid, or bashful, or self-

conscious.We must not be lazylazy.Tell your friends and neighbors the Good Good

NewsNews.Invite them to come to churchchurch with you.Teach them how to be born againborn again.

Offer to pray with thempray with them for their salvation.
